According to emails sent out by PayPal, the Steam Winter Sale will begin on the 22nd, two days from now.

I was glad to see Ori and the Blind Forest on sale, even though I can't afford it now.  My brother got Rocket League at the price it's currently at (although we got it during the Fall sale, I think?) for Christmas, and he was super hyped.  It's a great game, although it's somewhat demanding, and we're not sure how to get local multiplayer to work (we get a black screen).  Either way, it's still a lot of fun.  I enjoy it probably nearly as much as my brother does (he's addicted!).

zanderlex : It is a good game.  It's probably not one that will have a big sale anytime soon, however, due to its popularity.  It seems that a certain number of devs don't allow deep discounts for their games due to the popularity of them.  Games like Kerbal Space Program, Shovel Knight and this, Rocket League haven't gone on sale for very low.

This Winter Sale compared to last year's was rather underwhelming.
I feel like they had a lot more deals and much better prices last year...I seem to recall Flash sales as well, like the Summer sale (which kinda sucked this year too).

I was looking at ome of the stuff today with Red and we found that there were a couple other sites that were offering way better deals than what Steam was offering such as Green Man Gaming and G2a, with some of their big discounts still going on right now, like we saw the Valve Complete Pack for like $25 and some games at the same price that they were during the steam sale, but lasting for a lot longer.

Vanelan : Definetley. The only times I buy games on Steam now are if they are really cheap already, like the $5 and under games or when they have sales that the others don't, which is still something that happens a lot. Sometimes Steam does in fact have the better deals.
