Mewtwo.He can use thunder on lugia,thunder on Xatu,shadow ball on Mew,recover, and then shadow ball on cresselia...defeated.

yea, I'd have to agree with crono. plus, mewtwo is 1st gen, the best gen for pokemon themselves. gen 2 has some decent pokemon, but gen 1 beats em IMO

well, i say that lugia is the strongest, also, mew can be vary strong, it "can" learn all the move in the games...

Mewtwo for good reasons. some are that it is the main villian in the first movie and he played it very good. Also he has kick ass moves.

Mewtwo is definately the best out of all of them.

Mewtwo has a very high stat average, which is shared only by Dialga, Palkia, Girantina, Ho-oh, Lugia, and Rayquaza, and is only surpassed by Arceus. his special attack is the second highest in the game, behind only Deoxys in his attack form. He can also use a great variety of attacks and would have an advantage over all the others listed, with the possible exception of Lugia, however, Lugia can learn very few moves that would be "super effective" against Mewtwo. Plus, in the 1st generation pokemon games, psychic type was basically the rocket launcher in a game of rock paper scissors. It took extra damage only from bug and ghost moves, of which there were few and they were weak, and psychic attacks did extra damage to poison and fighting types. Additionally, the special attack and special defense were both combined into the "special" stat, which made psychic types insanely powerful, until they were split in gold and silver. The addition of dark and steel types also helped bring it down to a reasonable level.

Mew, on the other hand, can use any and all TMs and HMs, a trait which no other pokemon shares with it. Mew shares a stat average lower than those listed above, but equal to most other legendaries. For what it's worth, Mew has slightly higher defense and special defense than Mewtwo.

However, I'd have to give Lugia the cool factor.

mew because he is the original he is connected to all pokemon

I think Mew would win since it can learn all TMs and HMs and has good enough stats. Mewtwo would put up a fight, but Mew takes the pie!

I wouldn't say that Alakazam is the strongest, But, I refuse to use rare Pokemon on my teams, therefore he is the strongest Psychic I can vote for, as well as my favorite Psychic Pokemon.
