I am the Phantom Ranger, a hero from another world who has come to defend your world from a threat that annihilated mine. I am one of few survivors. While I fight off these evil forces and search for five certain humans, I also want to learn more about your world, since it is a world that most other worlds know very little about. I seem to have come here at a strange time. Not only is the climate much colder than on my world, but night time seems to come very quickly, and daytime is rather short. I have also heard rumors of something people call "snow". They say it always comes this time of year, but where I am stationed, I have not experienced any such thing (seriously, it hasn't snowed at all where I live). One of the strangest things I have seen, are big glowing creatures that sometimes move, and have very, as you would say, squishy skin. They do not appear to be living but have all of the characteristics of a living being. Some of them even produce a sound that might be what humans call "music". Some places have one or two, but other places seem to have a whole army of them. What are they? And why do so many people partake of this custom? I see many people running around, and hurrying about but don't seem to have anything urgent to do. They go into nearby shops, and buy very odd things such as little human-like objects, big human technological devices used for making earth food edible, and various forms of clothing. These humans obtain surprising amounts of items, and fill up a vehicle with a large metal box all the way to the top. Sometimes they are even stacked above the top. Why do humans need so many things? Is it a survival technique to battle this planet's cold climate? Do humans just go crazy when they get too cold? I do not understand. Another thing is that there seem to be many people who like to grow trees inside of their homes. And then they cover the trees with strange objects that are mostly made of gold, silver, diamond, and other metals and crystals. Then they put a 5-pointed shining gas ball "that is what my people call the small lights in outer space", or a small person with wings and a golden circle on its head and put them on the top. This is a very dangerous custom, for once the tree grows tall enough, it will grow through the house and most likely make it collapse. Why do people plant trees in their houses and sit down around them just to stare at them? Please explain these confusing earth customs to me.

haha, welcome to the site dude. Certainly have to give you credit for the interesting and original post. I'm actually kinda surprised that no one else has responded to this thread until now.

I must admit, that a lot of the activities that Humans partake in don't make a whole lot of sense, but that's what makes us what we are I suppose.

I understand your confusion Phantom. It took me a while to understand their strange customs. I have come to the conclusions that humans are creatures of pleasure and will go to create extents to kill themselves with poisoned food as long as it "taste good" (in my opinion everything but what they call Asian food taste bland) and mountains of non productive and  radioactive plastic waste. While others try to do the complete opposite. Plus, the custom of using plastic and paper as bartering tools is far beyond interstellar concept.

I have very few answers. But I will do my best...We plant trees in order to increase the oxygen in our house. It's a high risk high reward scenario. We are in greater dangers of exploding in a giant fireball. But we also grow in strength tremendously when exposed to oxygen. The human like things with squishy skins are called "decoys" We use these to celebrate when Sir Krampus of the North cloned himself 1,000 times in order to slay the dragon named Santa and his rider known as Claus. After 25 days of struggling the Krampuses were victorious. But nobody knew if the original was killed in battle or not.

The cold weather is just a geographical thing. It will go away in a short amount of time though.

Earth can't figure out what it wants to do, At least the part of Earth I live on doesn't really get that hot, except for the Summer. And for weirdos, Earth is a weird planet, filled with weird things walking on the planet where other life on other planets said didn't exist. How Earth became weird, that, we don't know. Something about a taco.

It's all in the cows mind

Well, you see, all humans are made of love, we are made to love, and we are made from an act of love. Most of us manage to forget this during our short time on Earth, which causes us a great amount of pain. Our species also experiences Time in a linear fashion, so there is no way for humans to directly experience the mistakes our species has made in the past.

After forgetting our true origins and purpose, we resort to strange behaviour in order to fill the resulting void, and to distract ourselves from our body's impending doom. Most of the strange behaviour you are describing is humans hoarding material possessions in a futile attempt to attain happiness and peace of mind.

It is quite sad really, but there is still hope, as some humans are able to break this cycle of insanity and will hopefully pass this onto their offspring.
