And now here are the top 5 Super Nintendo games that i think are the best 5. Super Mario RPG - Legend Of The Seven Stars I do like a good RPG and there are plenty on the SNES and this one i find the best because how can you go wrong with an RPG featuring Mario, this is a Final Fantasy style game where you control Mario and various other characters (even Bowser) and you need to find the 7 Golden Stars that will repair the Star Road so everyone;s wishes can be granted, but a villain named Smithy has stolen them all,so you need to go on the epic quest and get the stars and beat the creepy robot wizard looking Smithy I know most people prefer RPG's like Earthbound or Chrono Trigger or A Link To The Past but for me this is the best RPG on SNES,and if you like this then i recommend Mario & Luigi - Superstar Saga on Game Boy Advance 4. Donkey Kong Country SNES really upped it's game with this release, some of the best graphics on the console at the time and a long game it is too, lots of levels and lots of different ideas as you control Donkey Kong or his nephew Diddy Kong and get help from animal friends as you try to get back your bananas from the bad guys, was interesting that the developers decided to give a character like Donkey Kong his own platform adventure game but it worked very well There are two sequels which are also very good,Donkey Kong Country 2 - Diddy Kong's Quest and Donkey Kong Counry 3 - Dixie's Double Trouble 3. Super Castlevania IV The first 3 Castlevania games on the NES are excellent, challenging side scrolling platform adventures games where you go around using a whip to kill monsters, zombies, bats and eventually Dracula, and then came the 4th game on SNES,Castlevania in 16 bit and it is awesome, the music and graphics are some of the best on SNES and i think this is the best Castlevania game there is So this is the Castlevania game to play in my opinon, and also good but not better than this is the Sega Genesis' own Castlevania adventure,Bloodlines 2. Kirby's Dream Land 3 So as late as 1997 the SNES was still bringing out games and we got another Kirby game and it is the best one there is,you'd think Kirby Superstar couldn't be topped then this came along, and just like any other Kirby game it is colorful, simple to play and some lovely graphics, nice to see Kirby in 16 bit end on a high And nice to see Kirby live on even now on the Wii and Nintendo DS,it is one of Nintendo's best game franchises And number 1 in my top 10 is.... No,not really,my number 1 really is 1. Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island I said Super Mario World wouldn't be in the top 5 but it is still a great game but this sequel is incredible,i remember playing it when it first came out in 1995 and being blown away and 20 years later it is still the best game on the SNES for me,in this prequel to Super Mario World you control Yoshi and have to take baby Mario along with you to reunite him with baby Luigi, and there a lot of levels to get through and you have to solve puzzles and use Yoshi's different set of skills to get through each level,it is really fun and easy to get into and what amazing graphics, such a different style to Super Mario World,i know i may have missed out some other true classics in my top 10 but for me these were the 10 i always found the best and always will be,thanks for anyone that checked it out and next time - Top 10 Sega Genesis games 5. I think I may agree with the first because it seems popular of the sort. I could be wrong though. It saddens me that I wasn't able to play much snes games. Because they seemed to have a lot of good games on it to play. :/ |

Ew, I do not like some of your top 10 list.
Mario RPG is great, Donkey Kong Country is great, Castlevania 4 is a classic, but the other 2 while they are good games wouldn't crack my top 10. I would have had Super Mario World and Legend of Zelda: a Link to the Past up there instead. However, it is YOUR list after all in spite of how much I disagree with it Mario RPG is great, Donkey Kong Country is great, Castlevania 4 is a classic, but the other 2 while they are good games wouldn't crack my top 10. Although I thought your overall list was solid, I have to agree with Geeo and disagree. Although like I said in the other thread, you will never make everyone happy when trying to make a top 10 list for the SNES. Just too many great games.
Personally any top 5 without Link to the Past Super Castlevania Super Metroid or Super Mario World is not a top 5 that I can get on board with. Sure Kirby 3 and Yoshi's Island are great games, but I wouldn't personally put them in my top 10. Maybe Yoshi's, but certainly not Kirby 3. Honestly YI takes a huge hit for me because of the stupid crying baby mario. It's like I have to play the game on mute, which is sad because I love retro "chiptune" type music when done well. What? No Secret of Mana or Chrono Trigger? :V If I recall, Yoshi's Island had some pretty good music...but like Jordan said, Mario crying all the time did ruin it.... At least you have Castlevania 4 on there...so you have a decent list going. :3 If I recall, Yoshi's Island had some pretty good music...but like Jordan said, Mario crying all the time did ruin it.... I'm not a huge fan of your top 5, but I like a couple that you've listed here. But I'm also not about to tell you what you think since everyone has their own opinion on games. The only one I would keep in my top 5 is Donkey Kong. I really like Castlevania 4 in my top 10, but not top 5. I would have Super Mario World and Killer Instinct somewhere in my top 5 to go along with Donkey Kong and probably Chrono Trigger and Mega Man X to round it off. But like I said, that's just my personal opinion. Everyone is different. I really liked Yoshi's Island too. I haven't got to play it until I started playing it on Vizzed, and it probably has to be my favorite video game. I did play Donkey Kong Country a lot back when it came out, but I didn't like it as much. However, the second Donkey Kong game was excellent. I wish you would have included it in your list along with Super Mario World. I really would like to play Mario RPG, it looks like a good game too. |

All great games on that list. You have my favorite SNES game on there, Mario RPG; and both Donkey-Kong-Country and Kirby three are pretty good games. |

While I do believe that Kirby's Dreamland 3 is vastly underrated by many, even I would be stretching to put it in the top 5. I might (and I know it's partially bias) put it as 10 or 9, but 2 is ridiculous. It's not even the second best platform game on the SNES in my opinion, or even the better of the two Kirby games on the SNES (as much as I'm not a huge fan of Super Star, mind you). That aside, I'm actually going to do a 180 and agree with your placement of Yoshi's Island. While the crying can get excessively annoying at times, most of the time, I was actually able to deal with it. Maybe I just didn't get hit that much? That aside, the soundtrack is phenomenal, the gameplay is surprisingly new and interesting, the physics have allowed for faster-paced play as a whole, and the entire line of graphics has that dosage of Nintendo charm that outdoes Super Mario World. The vehicle transformations were a little weird, though (where did that come from?!). That aside, I'm actually going to do a 180 and agree with your placement of Yoshi's Island.
