Honestly, not really sure what I believe in
I think there is an afterlife, as I've had experiences I cannot explain
I do not think there is a god, however, or gods. Moreso something more natural? I dunno.
It's hard to explain.
But I've been a Christian before and received some things out of it. And been surrounded by "Christians" my whole life.
And I've done pagan (moreso Wicca) and received some things from it as well.
It makes me wonder if prayer is nothing more than perceiving a good event to be a sign from a god granting request.
I don't know tho. I'm not gonna argue about which faith is better. I stopped practicing Christianity and grew to be more pagan, existing in the natural world and doing good for the sake of doing good. I feel more at ease. But I dunno if I actually believe in magic or prayer--I do believe in the power of mediation, as that's been proven and why I stick with it.

Eirinn : You're wrong. There's fossils and evidence that evolution happened. Claiming that evolution is false because it hasn't been replicated yet... It's impossible to replicate something that happened over millions of years and also we don't have the technology to start life yet.

Ferdinand : With respect because your site staff, I never compared a unicorn to god(why are people still focused on the clever satire that was the "I can't believe in unicorns but you can believe in a "God"?" joke) instead of the actual question which was "WHY DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE FAITH YOU FOLLOW?" Did you read my first post entirely, I explained the joke but here was the explanation again-"So naturally whenever I tell someone I think unicorns are real, they look at me like I'm crazy and say they aren't real you've never seen one they don't exist and I reply simply you believe in a "God" and I've never seen one of those either, they don't exist." Can you not see the clear satire in the threads name?(also about the straw man comment wikipedia isn't a reliable source anyone can edit those wikipedia pages)

But to everyone carry on debating, and don't forget the real question in this thread "Why do you believe in the faith you follow", but don't say I compared unicorns to God...

NameEntry : Thank you, for telling him I didn't straw man him or anyone else.

Celestial Knight : I'm glad that you think your title was 'clever'. There is no evidence that unicorns ever existed. There are myriad forms of evidence for a God however. What makes you think that believers "blindly" follow anything? I was an atheist for years until I realized that science can't explain everything. Despite what Neil Tyson or Bill Nye or Stephen Hawking say. The universe had a beginning. How? Why? Just think of everything that had to be perfect to give rise to man. From the values of universal constants, to our unique position in time and space on a planet perfectly capable of supporting advance intelligences, The planetoid that supposedly crashed into primordial Earth and seeded the planet with extra heavy metals to create our strong magnetic field. Etc, Etc. That's even before amino acids spontaneously combine to form the first simple proteins. And quantum physics doesn't even really work, it's only an approximation anyways. All of their equations give nonsense infinite results until they normalize them. You and Nameentry can argue semantics until you're blue in the face. The fact that I'm staff is irrelevant. Say what you want to say. I don't even matter anyways.

mrkoolnerd : That...that doesn't even make sense. Sorry. Please don't use this thread to debate, as that is off topic for this particular thread, therefore it is spam. Feel free to make a thread for debating evolution if you wish though.

NameEntry : Alas, the reason I avoid this forum usually. I am not here to debate, nor was this thread meant for debate, therefore debate posts are spam. Feel free to start a topic regarding evolution debate, but please keep this one on track.
However, I will answer this: that list was laughable. Almost none of it had anything to back up the "facts" but assumptions. Also it contained references to no actual proof. I can respect a valid opinion, but the person that made that was stretching. An elephant's body knew it was taller than it's ancestors so it grew a long upper lip/nose so it could eat and all this. Sorry, I can respect your opinion and right to believe that, but it just sounds silly to me. Let's just agree to disagree.
