Hey guys, now I know there are sonic voice actors now. So from which game is your fav voice actor? I have some mine would be Ryan Drummond and Jason Griffith those guys would have to be my fav sonic actors. I have checked up on the newest person called Roger Craig Smith. He's actually not doing so bad considering he did for sonic generations which is a fav game of mine. I didn't like much from sonic underground it was a good show though. And Jaleel White voiced as sonic from the old school Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog show was pretty cool as well. So guys who are your fav sonic voice actors?

Not sure of his name or anything, but I prefer the one who did his voice actor.
The one from Sonic X, that actually fitted with the characters look design and additude,especially compared to
sonic booms actor and even morden sonics imo.

Jason Griffith, to me he'll always be Sonic because he's the one I grew up with

I'd have to say Casey Robertson, who voice as Caliburn in Sonic and the Black Knight (does that count?). I know many people hated the game, but I for one enjoyed it's challenges as well as the pace. Plus, I'm a sucker for medieval themes and time periods.

SuperCrash64 : Jason Griffith was the one who did sonics voice from sonic x crash. That's why I like him and Ryan as well since they are among the originals.

pika pika raikou : Same here pika he did a lot and has a great sonic voice. ^^

Kuti_Kat : It does count in a way lol. I never hated the game it was amazing to me. As a matter of fact I've got the game for the original wii. I never got to complete it as I was stuck in some areas. From then I never got back to completing the game. Maybe one day I will.

My favorite Sonic voice actor is Jason Griffith. Who doesn't like Sonic's taunt in Super Smash Bros Brawl - ''You're too slow!'' (why did they remove it in Smash 4, ''Sonic speed'' is kind of lame). In my opinion his voice suits Sonic the best of all. The one before him is pretty good as well.

TornadoMudkip : I could have never said better. Its the main reason I like him in the first place the originals gave something that expressed sonic in a way that no one has. I mean roger is doing ok. I have mixed reviews about him still so for me he's an on and off thing sadly. ^-^

A user of this : Its true that roger is rising up quickly voice wise. He's doing good at the moment but there are still some things I may not like. And things that I would like about his voice acting. And yeah I do notice he is more laid back when he does the voice of sonic and more. It only depends if he grows more to be a better voice actor for sonic.

Dan green and of course Mike Pollok are my favorites

I hated Sonic Boom, but Pollok just brought life to it that make me want to keep watching it from time to time

And Dan green, not only did he do the best Knuckles ever, but also his Execution of Mephiles was out the window, It was just so inspiring and drawing in to make it all seem more real.

It's kinda weird though how much oral cavity movement is put into Mephiles voice acting for him not having a mouth. (come with me shadow)

Kōji Yusa is my favorite Japanese voice actor because Japanese Shadow is the best with Nobutoshi Canna not far being for his hot headed characterization of Knuckles, it very closely matches Dan Green's characterization.

Also kudo's to Tomokazu Seki, for an amazing Werehog voice in the Japanese version.


I can't leave however without mentioning Jason Griffith, I didn't like his early days, but his voice acting in the Black knight was amazing.

WHY SEGA WHY DID YOU FIRE HIM JUST AFTER HE GOT GOOD!?!

Also the entire japanese cast has been around since the days of Sonic adventure, they haven't been replaced even once, the only time anyone has been called in to voice anyone other than their main voice actor was Werehog sonic. Why foes SEGA of america have to be so wishy-washy?

Jason Griffith was the voice I grew up with when sonic x first aired back in 2003 (I was five at the time). He got better and better with sonic every game he was in.

Mike Pollock is probably my favourite. He has been so solid from day one as Eggman and he honestly makes any scene with him that much better. It also speaks that, as picky as SEGA is about voice actors, Mike Pollock has never been replaced. He's pretty much THE voice of Eggman.

If we're speaking of SONIC in particular... I'm actually fairly impartial. I kind of like all the Sonic VA's with their own separate takes on the infamous hedgehog.

bombchu link : that's the main reason why I don't even try to watch sonic boom for reasons. And yeah! eggmans voice characters how could I forgot about that! I have to agree with the voices there as some many not work for the dub or the sub. But it is always good to try out both to see what you like better as you have stated. ^-^
I wasn't happy either when Jason got fired. I was yelling all over the place. :/

DylanMcKaig : True that is really true that's how I feel which I would normally agree on.

Gamin'Gal : I've heard the voice over before. And I think its the most villainous voice I have ever heard of which suites him well. I mean whats a show without a good villain voice actor right? I see...its always good to well hear out all of the sonic voice actors. Well since they will give out different ways of bring out sonic. For him to be laid back or for him to taunt others and more.

Mike Pollock hands down kills it as Eggman.It's gotten to the point where I can't think of him sounding any different.Except for Adventure Eggman.He's still a good egg in my book.(pun entirely intended).

Spidey243 : True very true which is why he is the best actor for eggman by far.

I technically grew up with the TV shows' voice cast and Jaleel White. I always liked his voice in the show, but I can't really picture him doing it for a game. It just seems different to me somehow.

I'll have to agree with others that Jason Griffith grew on me as a voice actor. Direction and dialogue writing could possibly be to blame for the some sub-par performances in the Adventure series, but I still like the Adventure voice cast the best. So Drummond is my favorite Sonic voice, but I'll admit Griffith gave a bit more life to the character. Only when I finally decided I like Griffith in the role did Roger Craig Smith take over. Smith is easy to get used to and I think does a decent voice for the hedgehog. 

Going with the Adventure cast, Deem Bristow was my favorite voice for Dr. Eggman. Mike Pollock does an incredible job, though. Definitely the best voice of the new/current cast. But it's still a shame that Bristow passed. I read a while ago that Drummond and others from the Adventure cast only left because of Bristow, but I doubt there's much truth to it, now that I know about contracts and whatnot lol.

Knuckles' voice was pretty good in Adventure and with the 4Kids cast, but I feel like Shadow and Tails keep getting worse. I can't stand their current voices. 

I soft of liked martin Burke who voiced sonic during the movie.(1999) It surprisingly seemed just right to me.

I like Ryan Drummond the best here is 1 of my favorite quotes from him.

"Talk about low budget flights no food or movies I'm outta here I like running better"

danielbelitch : I see yeah in some areas he was a good actor for sonic. But for me he wasn't a favorite of mine. Jason Griffith I felt did more for sonic and gave us well what sonic would actually he heard like in the real world if you get my definition of what I mean by that. I can't remember too many actors even for eggman lol as the voices for him changed. So I just went with the flow with what I heard. I liked shadows voice lol and yeah tails voice was kinda annoying. But then I got used to it and all.

Final Weapon : I dunno if I watched the movie when I was younger. I think I did then, but had forgotten what he sounded like back then. '-'

Sonicolmstead : Yeah, he's another voice actor who is now sonics recent voice. And he is doing pretty good at it I must say. ^^

I would have to go with David Humphrey. He did Shadow's voice in all the pre '05 games including Sonic Adventure 2. I always believed that voice to be the perfect incarnation of what Shadow should sound like, and he nailed the role more so than any of the other voice actors. I like Jason Griffith as well, but David has him beat in my book.
