For 3 full games I had never seen a shiney in the wild. After getting sick of chaining for anything I decided to go underground and dig for some stones to evolve some pokemon. I got about 5 fossils. I decided to go with the Root Fossil first, then got rid of the Skull Fossils and finally got the Helix fossil. I went to it's summary to check its nature and I was absolutely stunned. A purple Omanyte, with a little red star next to it. I immediately started training it and now it's a purple Omastar.
So what I want to know, is how you guys got your first shiney. How did you feel when you saw your shiney?

I got my first shiny in a trade off of the GTS. Oh, and guess what it was? DEOXYS!!!!! I was like, Ohhhh, yeah baby!!! Shiny Deoxys! Actually, my brother was even luckier than me. Even though my shiny pokemon was better, he got his sooner, and HE actually caught his! It was a geodude, and I was very jealous! oh, yeah, and I forgot to mention, that my first shiny was after two games on Sapphire, three games on Pearl, and three or four games on FireRed. His was after two games on FireRed and was his first game on Pearl.
