I invite you to invent your own Sonic the Hedgehog character. It has to be an animal that hasn't been used in any of the video games. Describe his/her abilities,and characteristics. What color would he/she be in super form,and would he/she gain a new ability? What type of character is it? Is it a Speed, Fly, or Power type? Or just make up your own type. It doesn't have to be an animal. It can be an anthropomorphic plant, or rock, or a chair or anything you want, as long as you can explain how it would make a good Sonic character. Have fun!

On a serious note, I'm not sure how great an idea this is to be a thread at all. I know Sonic recolors quite well, since they were all over when I wanted to make my own fan character (although, it wasn't a Sonic fan character). A lot of their bad qualities found their way into my character, as it slowly became a victim of what I like to call the Sonic Recolor Syndrome. In other words, any video game character who suffers from symptoms such as Mary-Sue qualities, constant like-ability (oftentimes a Mary-Sue on top of this), poor design sense (and even color choice at times), and ridiculous close ties in ability and mannerism to the character it's "inspired" by...these all fall under my dubbed Sonic Recolor Syndrome.

I mean, now, my character is actually a solid recolor, and probably one of the better examples of what a recolor should be like. But, most Sonic recolors tend to be, well, lazy. VERY lazy. That's the point I'm trying to bring across.

Eyes: Green
Attire: purple crop top; black shorts, garters with hearts on them leading down to black stockings. black boots with white tips with moons on it, a snowflake tattoo on the left side of her stomach, and a moon tattoo on the left side of her cheek. Her gloves are white with a purple diamond and purple tips. Her belt is black. 
Personality: serious but can be aloof. 
Type: Power and Speed (moreso power)
Weapon: i think i gave her a sword but not sure haha ;-;

Back when I was allowed to play Roblox I went to a Sonic RP game. It was... poor. Also had the fan characters in it. For one, Saria was a hedgehog, in fact there's too many hedgehogs yknow? Why can't there just be Sonic? I mean a hedgehog is a pretty random animal. Shadow couldve been an edgy wolf, Silver... I don't know how he's a hedgehog but what DOES he look like right? Anyways we also had pretty buried characters from the past, like Honey the Cat, that one wood pecker guy, a polar bear and Mighty, they even had a few easter egg characters cause why not? And we were all like 12 so the rp was just... eugh. But let's be honest, what is a good role play based on a pre-existing franchise? That's kinda what helps make it fun actually... the non-canonity of it all.

I have another idea. Carl the Llama. He has the power to cause explosions by ripping tags off of mattresses. This is just one of his many skills.
