(I was supposed to post this a few days ago, but Halloween preparations got in the way. ^^)

It's been a while since I last took an official walk around the Vizzed Writer's Block, but I managed to get outside today and met up with a Golden Lion that was playing awesome music for his subjects. As I passed by, the Golden Lion stuck a Green Ribbon on my head and showed me a calculator. I could barely believe my eyes, but I did my best to thank him and broke into a run to meet everyone that had been cheering for me to get the Green Ribbon.

As I approach Screenshot Shores, I see a Color-Changing Red-and-Green Crab and run up to hug it. It's so cute but I have to be very careful because it's also very delicate. I've tried to pick it up before but it's surprisingly heavy. Everything about it carries weight: its strong pincers can deal heavy punches and its words are always worth their weight in gold. The Color-Changing Red-and-Green Crab is super busy today so I try not to bother it too much as I untie the Green Ribbon in my hair and wrap it around the Color-Changing Red-and-Green Crab. The Crab looks at me for a moment (yes, he noticed me! XD ) and then goes back to tacking more pictures onto a Wall. I secretly hope that the Color-Changing Red-and-Green Crab will have a Red Ribbon on it too in a few days. ^^

Looking around the room, I notice that papers and pictures are strewn everywhere, or at least that's how it appeared to be. In reality, the place is organized, one just needs to realize how everything has been specially arranged into piles. Under my watchful gaze, the Color-Changing Red-and-Green Crab walks over to one of its pictures, pinches one with its pincers and expertly tacks the picture to the wall where the picture belongs. Then, in the span of a few seconds, it tacks several more pictures to the same wall. It's like watching martial arts, but with pincers. It only takes another few seconds for the Color-Changing Red-and-Green Crab to scratch some humorous inscriptions under the pictures. Then, the Wall disappears and a new Wall takes its place. The process continues and I watch in fascination until I spy another Yellow Crab nearby pinching a feather quill pen between its pincers. Curious, I walk closer and see the Yellow Crab scribbling furiously onto a piece of paper before it tacks the paper to a Wall as well. The paper was barely on the Wall before the crab had gone back to scribbling furiously on a new piece of paper. Whereas the Color-Changing Red-and-Green Crab had sat on stacks of pictures, this Yellow Crab sat on just as many pieces of papers and scrolls. I reach towards a scroll to see what’s written on there, but just then, a loud noise from another corner of the room startled me and I whirled around. Neither of the crabs turned, however, so they must have been used to the sound of a large Blue Mountain Goat battling with a debit card. Like the Yellow Crab, the Blue Mountain Goat appeared to have been scribbling copious notes but it looked like it had decided to take a coffee break to check out the Vizzed Market. Unlike the others, the Blue Mountain Goat was surrounded by mounds of comic books and it looked furious as it began to nibble on the debit card. I sweat-dropped and backed away quickly, but in my haste to leave, I almost tripped over a Rainbow Scorpion that was on its way out the door. Not having seen the Rainbow Scorpion in a while, I followed it to make sure it didn’t fall off the Edge again. The last time I had seen the Rainbow Scorpion, it had been ambitiously climbing up some stairs that ended abruptly, and I knew those stairs ended in that fashion because a Mighty Fisk had once flown with me to the Edge and warned me about the dangers of attempting to fly without being Modded to have Wings. Being a Mighty Fisk, he had the freedom to fly past the Edge to his heart’s content. In fact, he was so skilled in the art of flying that he could even transform into a Llama (without visible Wings!) while flying! Of course, this happens more easily when his level of Sass reached 200% or more, but to my understanding, the Mighty Fisk could fly in any shape or form, even with lower levels of Sass. Therefore, I knew that what waited for us at the bottom of the Edge was not something that would kill us, but the Rainbow Scorpion actually risked it all just to venture over the Edge.

It had been a few days since that incident, but I still remember the horror of it all. To this day, I still don’t know what had been driving the Rainbow Scorpion, but he had been walking awfully close to the Edge for days and that fateful day, he lost his balance and fell. Even though I ran forward to grab his tail, all I caught were the bits of confetti and gems I’d carefully stuck on his back over the course of a few weeks. Afraid to see a splattered Rainbow Scorpion, but also unwilling to leave him there while injured, I peered over the Edge and saw that he had only crashed through some screens and fallen on one of the giant computers that dotted the landscape. To my relief, I saw that the Rainbow Scorpion did land safely, but he had landed almost on top of a now-angry Golden Lion. Others were beginning to swarm around the Rainbow Scorpion to see what had happened, and the Golden Lion did not look amused.

Now as I surreptitiously trailed after the Rainbow Scorpion, I saw that he was indeed, heading for the Edge again. He paused momentarily at the Edge and I took that opportunity to use my paintbrush to draw another random line on his back, as I usually did when I saw him. He was just becoming more and more colorful by the day. XD As usual, he didn’t notice me and as I watched him climb up a different flight of stairs, I sincerely hoped that he wouldn’t feel so sad that he would stop showing his true colors after falling off the Edge just once. He had seemed so dejected for a while after the incident, I was glad that he now seemed to be brightening up once again. As I turned to walk back to find the Color-Changing Red-and-Green Crab, the Rainbow Scorpion suddenly stopped in his tracks and called out with a loud "Helloooo!" Surprised that he had actually noticed me, I turned to see that he was actually just waiting to meet up with the Golden Lion for a football match. The Rainbow Scorpion continued to wave at me while I cheered for them and in a few seconds, both of them had hopped onto a Net that flew upwards until it disappeared above the clouds. At least the Rainbow Scorpion seemed happy... I smile a bit and decide right then that I was going to try to Play on the Net too after the Walk around Vizzed's Writer's Block.

Pondering what game would be best to test, I made my way back to the Color-Changing Red-and-Green Crab. He's now resting but I notice that he's also now dozing under a Packers jersey, so I sit down in a corner and begin to slip into my own Packers jersey, too. I had barely finished pulling on the jersey when I felt a tug on my sleeve. A Hedgehog sat grinning at me, only inches away from my nose. Seeing my startled look of shock and bewilderment, he laughed mischievously before whispering that he wanted to invite me to join him on a great adventure called laughter with a capital S. Although I don’t normally tend to choose to play games like that on my own, I still followed him through a door and down a hallway into yet another room where he showed me a camera sitting on a bed. Apparently, my role was to reach for that camera, grab it off of the bed, and say something nosy and dramatic. It sounded fun so naturally, I signed up. Even though we had to film the scene a couple of times because I couldn’t stop laughing at how evil and conniving I sounded, we finally finished the skit and the Hedgehog happily sauntered off to complete the rest of his story. I make a mental note to read his (over 9000!) review once he's done as I begin to feel my way back towards the door at the end of the hallway.

For some reason, the lights had suddenly gone out for the entire hallway and now I found myself looking at a symbol glowing a bright white in front of me. This was the symbol of the Triforce of Vizzed! My jaw dropped as I stared at it in awe and suddenly realized it was only a holographic reminder that I still needed to meet my Quota. I'd been wandering around for far too long, and this Triforce always appeared to guide me whenever I strayed too far off course.

Just as I reached the door, a colorful Portal suddenly opened before me. Curious about the sign that floated before it which promised cake for anyone that passed through it, I stepped into the Portal and it was as if all of my Time started to mesh together in a giant blur.

After being unceremoniously dropped onto the carpet of a luxuriously furnished room, I try to pick myself up and realized I was actually under a large desk. Hadn’t I seen this place before somewhere…? I try to scoot away from the desk and realized that I’d somehow placed my hand into a large puddle of something red and sticky. I resist the urge to scream when I realize that nearby, a Zebra was pacing, furious that parts of his newest bulletin board had somehow been destroyed. The board looked like it had taken a long time to nail into place too, but long claw marks cutting across several large sections of the board wiped out areas where it appeared that names and numbers had previously been inscribed. Eh? Could this be?! I couldn’t be sure but it looked like I’d just gone Back to the Future… and landed smack dab in the middle of Innocent Town! An image of Innocent Town’s Mafia charging at each other with guns and knives drained the color out of my face and I began to pray that the Zebra wouldn’t see my long hair, which was poking out from under the desk, close to his legs. I had my suspicions that this famous Zebra could easily make anyone in Innocent Town disappear “by accident” (but this was one fact I didn’t want to confirm!), so I kept my head down and waited until he left the room to make a beeline for the exit.

After quietly leaving the building, I realize that I’d somehow made it to a very unfamiliar area of town. It didn’t even look like Innocent Town anymore, and in the distance, there was a brilliantly burning sea of trees that were waving their arms as the wind picked up, even while they were literally ablaze. What could have caused this…? With an odd sense of déjà vu, I tiptoe up to a Giant Cardboard Box strategically placed in the middle of a large clearing. There were some other cardboard boxes nearby but none were as massive as this particular box. Wait a minute… I smile and lift the Cardboard box up just a tiny bit. Inside, an Apple Tree was skillfully monitoring two huge screens, one of which always displayed the latest news. A few minutes after I’d been sitting behind the Skillful Apple Tree, watching him use all his limbs to scribble notes and tack them onto numerous Walls (all while completing his homework!), the Skillful Apple Tree turned to me and asked what I thought of his Cardboard Box. I didn’t think he’d seen my arrival but I guess he is supposed to be pretty good at multi-tasking. Before I could tell him that I thought it was nicely camouflaged among the other Cardboard boxes, the Skillful Apple Tree burst into flames. I was all set to go and get a bucket of water when a Ghost Fish materialized, floating close to the Skillful Apple Tree, and summoned a small lake that instantly extinguished all of the flames. The water flooded the Cardboard box so we quickly raised the roof to let the water out. Since no one appeared alarmed by this turn of events, I calmed down and laughed a bit, realizing that this had already happened quite a few times for 3 whole days! No wonder the Ghost Fish was still casually stretched out above a monitor, poised to douse the Skillful Apple Tree at any time he seemed to be in danger. I marveled as I watched the semi-transparent Ghost Fish fade until it was barely visible above the monitor screen, where it must have been before I even arrived. What terrific camouflage skills! When the Skillful Apple Tree began to record his very first video for Vizzed, I carefully replaced the Giant Cardboard Box and went in search of the exit to this Time Warp I had more or less accidentally stepped into. Since the Skillful Apple Tree had essentially stayed in a Loop for 3 whole days, with just slight variations in the times when he burst into flames, I knew I had to find an exit quickly if I didn’t want to be stuck in an eternal Time Loop.

As I dashed towards the nearest door in the distance, the faint sounds of a hammer striking steel made its way to my ears. It was a sound that was both chilling in its finality and yet reassuring in a strange sort of way, the sound of a Ban Hammer at work on an important project.

I finally arrive at a tree close to what appeared to be a giant green blob and realized I was actually in the presence of the Thor of Vizzed, as he pounded away on a Giant Computer. After a few more taps, he appeared to be satisfied and turned around to reach for a Vizzed Soda. That was when I realized that he was also wearing what appeared to be a White Scarf(?) to match his pristine, White outfit. I was certain that no one had ever seen him wearing a White Scarf before, so I figured this was eventually going to become a historic moment in Vizzed’s prestigious history.

Much as I wanted to see what he was doing on his Giant Computer, I knew that stepping any closer would mean I could potentially trip some wires to activate the hidden mines and traps that surely lined the areas where the Modded ones and their superiors worked. I figured there had to be some practical reasons for why they were all Modded with Wings, whether visible or invisible.

Deciding it was no longer safe to continue in this direction, I turned back towards another area I had only noticed just now.

The more I see these sorts of stories, the more I want to share my own stories and poems here. I just think sharing them in a post would be a bit much, since one in particular is around 2,000 words, and growing.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
