I'm pretty sure everyone knows of this game, largely considered to be the worst Final Fantasy game ever made because of obvious reasons such as the game requiring the player to just rub their fingers on their phone/tablet. What do you guys think about this game?

I think it's terrible. Any game where microtransactions are needed to progress is terrible. The game isn't fun at all, and honestly, it's fair for people to call this game the worst Final Fantasy game ever made.

gamerforlifeforever2 : Technically you don't need to buy the characters to win, but Square-Enix sure wanted you to.

It's not just the insulting microtransactions that are literally required to progress very far into the game at all, it's also the extremely shallow and repetitive gameplay that makes even other "free-to-play" games look dignified. It's literally just sliding your finger across one side of the screen while you watch little people with different appearances attack in exactly the same way. The worst part about it is that they've released decent mobile games before. Among them is Final Fantasy Dimensions, which is an original game that doesn't require you to pay so much and actually has decent gameplay that feels like a Final Fantasy game.

I never played this game before but I don't think it can really be that bad, besides, lots of games use the concept of rubbing the screen. Now I want to test it out for myself. If I can get it, ill play it and I'm sure ill love it.

zanderlex : I'm not sure. I've never finished the game, and never will. I paid for 2 characters and got Cecil and Vaan, now I actually like both of those characters, but that's another thing, you want Cloud? Well you better hope you get him, because all of the characters are basically just a roll of the dice. And if you were insane enough to buy all characters, that's $35, and if you buy the maps, that's $47! That is just insane. At least they learned with Record Keeper.

I once played a game, bought stuff for the game, and then had the game crash and erase all the stuff and then I started the game over and bought everything again. In short, I'm addicted to buying in game stuff, why did you have to tell me that I can buy all that???

Because buying stuff is fun. You can't deny that, can you?

zanderlex : That is indeed true, but I just can't see myself buying all those packs and characters because that's nearly $50 for a game I wouldn't even play often, even if it was good.

I guess now you can see why I'm always broke. Fortunately I didn't have any money for a while so I haven't been able to buy in game things for months.

I went to go and check this game on youtube. And I must say what I saw what a complete bogus, stupidity of one that call this a final fantasy game. I only watched 3 mins of it and I already saw what went wrong and didn't need to further watch it. I must say it really is a poor game and a huge embarrassment at that to be called final fantasy all the bravest. >.>

I'm not really a big fan of games with a lot of microtransactions, and even though I've never played it, I've heard of it, and I'm sure I'd hate it . I already do XD.

The gameplay, which is just swiping, seems very repetitive. You don't get to choose what attack you can use (which is a big part of the gameplay in a regular RPG), and yea.

And yea, the game WANTS you to spend money on it. For a party member to revive, you need to wait 3 minutes. To revive a full party, you need to wait an hour and a half... (you have a party of 30 people). You can also spend some money on an hourglass. Wow.

And don't let me mention how you get the special characters. It's all luck based. And that's never fun when it's in a video game (unless it's Mario Party ).

And having to pay so much just to beat a game... it's not worth it.
