Merry Dessert Day! There might only be a few hours left here in the day but it turns out that today, October 14th is National Dessert Day!

There's all sorts of places giving away free dessert for either joining something, walking in, or buying somethin such as Cinnabon, TGI Friday's, Cold Stone Creamery, and a bunch of other places.

These national / international "celebrations" are everywhere that it is hard to keep track. Had it not been for Twitter I do not think I would have even know about it. But even if I had I would not have "celebrated" it since desserts make me nauseous from all the sugar.

"sugar free" is usually a code word for "full of even nastier stuff." Sorry to be such a downer but I have quit sugar and its substitutes (which leave a bad after taste, especially aspartame) long ago. If you do not believe me, just check the box for ingredients on something sugar (or fat) free
