What's your craziest story that had to do with a substitute teacher? Because as we all know, we take advantage of having a sub.
I'll explain mine:
Yesterday (read the post date, please), I had a substitute for my language arts class. We were reading in groups (kind of, I didn't really read), and I finished "reading" the story. Then, someone in my group wanted to show me something in the story. Instead of just opening the book, I crawled onto the five desks that were together. The sub yelled at me, telling me that she was gonna write my name down. Instead of giving here my name, I asked her what I did wrong (pro tip, everyone), and she told me how I was crawling on the desks when I had the same exact story right next to me. And then, I played dumb, saying "oh...my bad" over and over again. In the end, she didn't write my name down. #likeaboss
So, what's your story? I would love to hear it.

I remember a guy in an English class who had to do an oral presentation in front of a sub. His theme was improvisation... mostly because he did not have a clue of what he was going to say. I thought it was pathetic; I can not remember how much he got.

On my side, the worst thing I did (she was an intern) was to write "Down with the intern" on a test since we "could write anything we want." I was sent to the principle's office, who left me with a warning. It was a really stupid thing to say since she really was a good person and I hope she got a job.

mario102 : In Elementary school, there was a day that all of the teachers went out on strike, but the students were still forced to go to school. This meant that every teacher, including the PRINCIPAL, had subs. Most of the subs were parents of students already in the class.

My sub was the parent of one of my bullies, and the bully soon used her mother as a fear factor. I eventually got a concussion after she pushed my down on a log headfirst. The sub didn't want her daughter to look bad, so never reported it. That was just one of the many times my mother got mad at administration during my time in Elementary.

And now that I'm a Senior in high school, the social situation has gotten better, but the school work for IB is extremely cumbersome. And all subs do nowadays is just sit at the computer in a daze while we do independent study.

This is a story of one of my.. less than finer moments in life.

I remember when we had a substitute teacher for my English class in 9th grade. Truth be told, when a substitute teacher came into town, I pretty much considered it a free day (which in hindsight, I know was not a cool thing to do). Anyways, so basically about half the class including myself are just completely slacking off. She was actually trying to teach unlike most substitute teachers, and seemed to really know her stuff. After awhile of us just sitting there talking and texting, she finally had enough of it and decided to confront the class.

She started talking about how disrespectful we were and then she started pacing. Then she continued class as usual, and we basically totally ignored her. After a few minutes, she went off again. This time though, she was in for quite the trip. She started walking towards the back of the class and tripped over a backpack - and I promise you that I can remember every detail of the fall. When she fell, she put her arms to her side, like a pencil or something, and face planted straight into the floor. It had to be the most awkward fall I ever witnessed, and the class started busting out laughing. I sadly was among those laughing, which really wasn't cool, but it happened.

When she got up, she returned to teaching without saying a word. Somewhat ironically, the class was silent and paying attention after the incident - and she never even told the teacher that anything even happened.

To this day, I feel bad that I left my book bag out in the isle like that.

I would say this is kind of crazy, back in the 8th grade ny living environment teacher was pregnant so we ended up having a sub for like 4 months, and it was a different sub every single day so nobody knew what they were doing in the class, and the class turned out so bad that we couldn't even take the regents exam at the end of the year.
