Hello everyone, and welcome! I always run into so many articles a day, that I want to try and see if people are interested in a one stop shop for gaming articles I found interesting! It will be set up like a magazine in a sense. Because my last "Today in Gaming" seemed to be accepted, I will do another! As with before, if this gains attention, I will continue to do more of these and make it a regular thing.
Anyways, let's get into it!
For a short but sweet version of all the articles below, I've included this easy summarization below the Table of Contents.

Table of Contents
To quickly get to a specific article, use control + F and type the code in the [brackets].
[AM1] - Shovel Knight Plague Of Shadows Delayed
[AM2] Plants Vs Zombies Getting Theme Park Ride
[AM3] - Call of Duty: Adding women was easy
[AM4] - Black Ops 3 Feedback
[AM5] - PS4 Is Finally Cheaper
[AM6] - Far Cry Primal Announced

Quick and Easy Summarization Of All Articles
Here's a quick summary for those who just want all the news a quickly as possible. Shovel Knight Plague of Shadows has been delayed, and it's physical copies for Xbox One have been cancelled. The new date is Nov. 3rd for US, and October 30th for EU. Plants versus zombies is getting it's own theme park ride, it'll be set up like a virtual arena type thing. Definitely check that out at least. Call of Duty explains how it never had an issue with making a female filled cast for it's campaign, and also explains how the beta helped shape the future of the video game's full release. Sony cuts the price of the PS4 to 349$, effectively making it the first price cut Sony has made in the US. Far Cry Primal has been revealed, and it's set in a very early time period. It looks very interesting, I'd check that out too. Finally, Video game voice actors have agreed to go on strike with a staggering 96% support. That's today's news delivered quick and easy! Check the individual articles for source links.

[AM1] - Shovel Knight Plague Of Shadows Delayed
In not so exciting news, the new Shovel Knight game has been officially delayed. On top of this, they have also cancelled the physical copies for the Xbox One. They go on to explain that to sell the physical copies of the game, they would have had to adjust the price from 19.99 to 24.99. This was because they have to adjust to the retailers standards. On a positive note, they have said that the delay will not be too long, due to support from the various console teams.

As for the cancellation, the official website of the developers states: "We’ll keep fighting to get a retail version on Xbox One, but as of now, the boxed version is in indefinite  limbo. The digital version of Shovel Knight on Xbox One is already available and will, of course, continue to receive new updates and our full support!"

So, at least we know they will continue to try and get it done. To be blunt, it's obvious that producing physical copies also costs more money than to simply deliver digital products to consumers. Now, they don't blame it on this fact, but it's worth noting.

[AM2] Plants Vs Zombies Getting Theme Park Ride
This is probably the most exciting news I've seen in awhile, just because I'm a theme park nut.

So, as you can see in this picture above, it's amazing. I really don't have words to explain how awesome this is. According to GameSpot, the ride will have the following:

3Z Arena includes:
68 motion-based seats equipped with hand-held laser devices
Nearly 3,600 square-foot arena
Two 14'6" x 26' screens with independent 5.1 surround sound
The attraction will run approximately ten times per hour to accommodate between 600-700 people (You read that correctly)
Players will be able to purchase photos in the Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare: 3Z Arena retail store
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare: 3Z Arena will be located inside the Action Theater, in the County Fair section of the park

So, as you can see, it's impressive. I really don't have any other words to describe it, and I strongly suggest checking out the source link to see more on it!

[AM3] Call of Duty: Adding women was easy
In some rather awesome news, Call of Duty has spoken out on whether or not the decision to add women was a tough one or not. In an interview, David of Activision was asked about whether or not it was a difficult decision, to which he replies: "David: It wasn’t even a remotely difficult decision. It was black and white. Our multiplayer has multiple playable female specialists and Zombies has had playable female characters in the cast. And in our campaign you can choose to play as a woman. Why is it easy? It’s 2065 in the fiction and the timeline period. There’s no difference here. This is just as likely that you could be a male or a female character in those shoes. So no, not remotely hard."

Now, there's a ton of more stuff he says, which will be available to look at in the source link, but I think this is the most important thing he says. He says it wasn't at all difficult, which is great! We're taking step to make sure that women can be represented in a position of power, and it shouldn't be a hard decision - or a decision at all. I really like seeing that developers are becoming more comfortable with adding female protagonists, and when someone big like Activision does it - it will no doubt catch on.

[AM4] - Black Ops 3 Feedback
So, it's always nice to know whether or not the player's voice is being heard - especially when it comes to betas. Treyarch, developer of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, has come out to talk about how the feedback is being used. One of the main points they talk about is how players strongly spoke out about the Black Hat (An item used to take over or destroy enemy equipment or kill streaks), and Treyarch has taken measures to balance the item. They have redone the hacking system, and made it so that the players aim is taken into account, the time will vary on positioning of the player in comparison to the enemy, and overall they have made the process take longer.

As a beta player myself, this is definitely good news! This item was not secretly unbalanced, it was noticeably annoying. They also talk about how they have redone Rejack, making it so that when the player uses the ability they can not continue on their streaks. It will also award the opposing player with a kill point, which should help it feel less annoying or overpowered. There's a lot of other adjustments, and as always the source is below.

[AM5] - PS4 Is Finally Cheaper
Yes, the headline is correct, it's finally cheaper. Sony has announced that they have cut the price of the PS4 to 349.99 for the holiday season. Of course, there's not a lot to talk about here, but it's definitely something I thought was worth mentioning to those who haven't purchased Greatness yet! There are quite a few bundles, including an Uncharted bundle, a Disney infinity bundle, a Star Wars bundle, and more!

[AM6] - Far Cry Primal Announced

Not much to talk about here, other than the fact that Far Cry Primal looks amazing, and will be here on February 23rd, 2016.

"The award-winning Far Cry franchise that stormed the tropics and the Himalayas now enters the original fight for humanity's survival with its innovative open-world sandbox gameplay, bringing together massive beasts, breathtaking environments, and unpredictable savage encounters," the YouTube description for Far Cry Primal reads.

Thanks for reading this week's "Today in Gaming!" Sorry about the short last two articles, it really was a slow day in gaming. I hope you found out something new and exciting! Feel free to talk about any and all of what was shown here!

Seriously though, am I the only one super excited for that Plants Versus Zombies ride? I can't be alone here.

Being a person that has played every Plants vs Zombies game I am excited for this theme park ride. For this ride to be able to hold 600 - 700 people is impressive. If there is a long line for it you probably wouldn't be waiting too long for your turn. I can't wait for this ride to come out Spring 2016.

I will definitely consider re-buying a PS4 this holiday season only because of the price reduction. But I have to see if there are any games I would want to play first besides getting Destiny again.

cnw64 :

Right! I can't wait for this ride. Apparently EA has other game themed rides they're releasing too!

Yeah, the PS4 would be a solid pick up I think. I'm not sure what games your into, but this year is being filled with RPG's and First Person Shooters. So if you don't like either of those, we're stuck with Destiny again haha!
