It's about time that I start talking about possibly the saddest movie of the year, Everest. I saw it in IMAX 3D the day it came out and I was shocked. The movie looked so incredible, and it was dramatic as well.

The graphics were insane and made the movie look so real, whether it was when the climbers were climbing or falling, or when the storm hit, it looked like we were really there and it made everything so much more suspenseful because of this.

The acting was pretty cool as well, you had names such as Josh Brolin and Jake Gyllenhall as well as a ton of others and they had all brought the movie to life. The dialogue and interaction between each other was great and they all made the movie more thrilling and in some cases, very emotional.

The story itself was all based on real events, the 1996 Everest disaster to be exact. It was about a group of climbers who lead an expedition up to the top of the mountain where everything seems to go wrong, but I wont say much else about it because its so good, though by actually looking up the real event, you can pretty much find out what happened.

It was also a really sad movie, even if it wasn't based on a real event, I'm sure I would have still cried because the things that went on in the film were just so intense, and that made foe an amazing plot. Overall, it was the saddest movie that I have ever seen, and easily the best movie ever bases on a real event.

Wow, after reading what you had to say about this one, I think I might go ahead and watch this one for myself. Something this intense and suspenseful seems worth watching in my eyes. I wasn't sure if this one would be worth watching, but you've got me interested.

gamerforlifeforever2 : Cool, but just remember I saw it in IMAX 3D, which was a part of why it was so awesome. Seeing it in 2D or not Imax would still look awesome but I doubt it would still have the exact same effect.

So, I FINALLY got around to watching this. I watched it with my Dad who did some mountain climbing when he was in his 20's so he understood a lot better what was going on what why they did some of the things they were doing.

And the movie did look really realistic. I'm sure they had some real Everest climbers consult on the movie to make sure everything was as accurate as possible.

And some of the scenes were absolutely shocking especially because it was a true story and what happened up there actually happened to real people.

Something my dad said that a lot of climbers don't realize their first time up is that the people who died trying to climb the mountain quite often don't move from the spot they died so you have to climb past them on your way up. I can't imagine how crazy that would be to do.

Anyway, I highly recommend this movie to anyone. The story was really interesting and the action was really engaging. I always felt like I was right in there with them.

The movie was OK at best in my view. I didn't find any of the characters to be lovable, the actors in themselves were correct and the love stories were uninteresting. But yes, the filming with all the snowstorms was impressive.
