I've had so many unexpected moments on Vizzed I can hardly count them anymore. Some I wish I could forget and some that I have forgotten.

Honestly I think how long I've been here and how much I've posted was unexpected. I didn't think when I joined nearly 11 years ago that I would still be posting on Vizzed at this point. I didn't think Vizzed would be here either so that is also unexpected.

Probably the most unexpected thing that happened to me was, well, a few things.

When I was a normal member, I decided to make some reviews, and I got 4 TPs in increments of 2 in one hour, so I became trusted (I got 1 TP earlier on some other day). I was surprised and happy about it .

A few months after that, Staff apps was a thing, so I applied for Game Guide Writer with a whooping 4 other people. Under normal circumstances, I would have been confident that I would be picked because I've gotten a lot of positive reception for my guides, but the thing was, the age limit was 13, and I was (and still am ) 12. But to my surprise, an exception was called, and I refreshed the page and suddenly I was Staff .

Then I decided to apply for chat mod (the app thread was in an Elite + form), and somehow I became chat mod as well . To this day, I still don't fully understand how something like that could ever happen XD.

Eh I've had a few unexpected moments in my almost 3 years of being on the site. Weirdest moment was definitely when my username got changed and I suddenly refreshed the page as Furret instead of FunnyFurret. Took a few days to get used to it

Waking up to 20+ profile comments after getting promoted to Local Mod was quite unexpected as well.

To me there's been a few; becoming a trusted member, featured game review, and winning the White Banner. At this moment, I am not able to be here as much as I'd like so what I do is mostly to contribute and because I enjoy the site and not so much for TdV etc so it's great to see things like these accomplished, it always a surprise

The one main unexpected thing that happened to me on Vizzed was getting 4 Trust Points in a span of 12-15 hours. This happened just 3-4 days ago where I went from having 1 Trust Point on the 23rd to having 5 TP and becoming a trusted member on the 24th.

I've had a number of things happen that I never expected on Vizzed, but the thing I expected the least was when a re-regger friended me for no apparent reason and started sending me links to porn sites. It happened back when the CometChat bar was still around, but it's still the most surprising and unexpected thing I've seen on Vizzed.

Two things:

On my old account (I was granted permission by a global to create an alt) I won ~4 TdV jerseys out of the blue. I don't remember trying at all.

On this account, I gained 4 TP in about 3 hours a few days ago. I know where 2 of those came from, but the other 2 were a nice surprise. I only have 1 TP to go!

I wouldn't know what was most shocking to me.  Or at least, my only -completely- shocking moments are negative ones when some of the member base was quite nasty.  David and others have worked so hard to improve the quality of the userbase.   I can't say GOOD things surprise me by much... haha.

I guess when I became a Trusted Member after about 8 days or so of joining - I know this is a big deal, but I feel like if I could do it, anybody can. I'm still trying to accept that it's unusual (I think?).

The first thing that came to mind however, was the first day or two after I joined I had gone into chat and mentioned that the game I was playing (PaperMario for 64) had really glitchy graphics. I didn't know anybody in there and just expected to hear someone say "yeah me too". A member took the time, without being asked, to see if there was anything else that could be done to correct the issue - and also pointed out there are 3 plugin options which I wasn't aware of. It might seem silly but I was surprised that someone I didn't know, and didn't know me, would take the time and effort to help without being asked or asking for something in return. I won't mention his name because I don't know if he'd feel embarrassed or not but he knows who he is.

Well something happened just recently and it's pretty cool, I got trusted and I wasn't expecting it at all. I just got trust points and I managed to have 5 TP so bam I am now trusted. I would say I'm very happy with this and I plan to show why I deserve such a position.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
