New York Comic Con is in less than 3 weeks and I'm going, so I wanted to talk about all the cool things that I'm going to be doing there. I ended up buying my 3 day ticket on Ebay for like twice as much, even though the day after I bought them, Midtown Comics started selling extra tickets.

I has enough money saved up in cash to buy from Midtown Comics, who always has tickets saved from Comic Con after they sell out, but apparently they were supposed to go on sale at the store weeks ago and I didn't want to wait any more. But this was a good thing because the store sells them tomorrow and there's already people camping at the store so I might not have been able to get anything. Plus, since I used my online money for the tickets, I can use the cash at the convention for stuff or autographs.

LIST OF PANELS

More and more panels are added each day and so far I have a list of panels that I have saved to my calendar. On Friday, I plan on going to an Adventure Time panel, a Late Night with Seth Meyers panel, and a ScreenJunkies Honest Trailers panel. On Saturday I plan on going to a RocketJump panel talking about their new show, and a Regular Show panel. Sunday is the day I'm really waiting for, I'm going to be at a Gravity Falls panel and a Goosebumps panel.

There's a couple Autograph panels that I might go to, but I'm not sure about those for the following reason. Just a few days ago Comic Con put up prices for autograph sessions which are like $30-$80. However, shows tat have panels also have cast auto sessions but they don't have a price listed, so I'll check them out. Autograph sessions for these include Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Goosebumps. Getting autographs by the Regular Show people would be cool. For Adventure Time, it would include Jeremy Shada (Finn) who im a fan of, and John Dimaggio (Jake) who is the reason I got tickets in the first place. I even bought a Futurama Comic so John could sign it before I learned of the prices. The Goosbumps signing includes R.L. Stine, Jack Black, and the rest of the movie cast. Not sure if I would need to bring posters or if they would have them though.

At the rocketJump panel, I'm hoping they do singings, because it turns out one of the channels staff is a voice actor and is in one of the video games I have and I would love to get that signed. I might go to a few other show panels for shows such as Elementary, Ash Vs The Evil Dead, and Blindspot.

The People

There's going to be a bunch of famous people who I like, and want to meet as many as I can, but most of them would be in panels, like Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad star), Seth Green, Nathon Fillion, Elijah Wood, Vin Diesel, and others.

For autos, I will dish out the money to get Dimaggio to sign my book, and I also ordered a Gravity Falls book because Alex Hirsch, the creator and actor said he's signing, not sure about price. The creator of Naruto is doing a free signing, so I might go there.

THE STUFF

I also have a list of all the booths that are giving away free things from posters, stickers, and buttons, to bookmarks, music CD's, and more!

Can;t wait and I hope they add more stuff and of course I'll be talking about the expericnce and showing all the stuff that I get.

Vanelan : Since you're going, why don't you share anybody you might want to meet or stuff?

I haven't been to New York Comic Con in 3 years. I remember the ticket's being much cheaper than they are now. I use to get up early to buy my ticket from Midtown Comics so I would never have to buy them from ebay. Those people on there put some ridiculous prices especially for the VIP tickets. I use to buy the 4 day pass and I loved going to the video game section to try out future releases. Most importantly, there were barely any people that attend on Thursdays. I just hate when people bump into me Friday- Sunday it's annoying and troublesome.

Sound's like you got everything planned. Be sure to remember to line up at your panels early. It would have been cool for me to go this year I would have loved to meet John Dimaggio. He also did the voice of Shnitzel from Chowder and Marcus Fenix from Gears of War. I would have gotten Masashi Kishimoto to sign my ninja headband or one of my collector Naruto shirt's.

I have this bad habit of buying huge plushie's whenever I go to comic/ anime conventions. I am very interested in seeing what you will buy and seeing some of the free stuff that you will be getting. I hope you enjoy yourself despite of having to traverse through a massive crowd of people.

cnw64 : How much were the tickets then?

I wouldn't have had to buy them on eBay if I just bought them straight from their site when they were selling then.

zanderlex : I use to pay $75 dollars for a 4 day pass and I think the one day passes use to be $35 ( depending on the day you wanted to go). I don't remember the prices for the 3 day tickets cause I never bought that ticket. Paying $50 for a one day pass today is not that bad but $105 for a 4 day pass is a little much. It sucks that you might not even get a chance to pay for the regular price because people like to line up the night before the tickets go on sell the next day. So people like you have to resort to buying from site's like ebay where the tickets are being sold for double the price. Also, Midtown Comic's don't sell the ticket's online cause they are not allowed to. Which is why there is always a lot of people in line whenever they are selling tickets.

cnw64 : People aren't really supposed to go on line at all for the tickets. Midtown Comics only sells tickets AFTER Comic Con sells out. Most people already got their tickets mailed to them directly from the convention center weeks ago, getting tickets from Midtown Comics is kind of the last resort.

zanderlex :  I already know that Midtwon Comics sell's the ticket's after Comic Con does. So obviously the people that didn't buy them from Comic Con are suppose to line up to buy them from Midtwon Comics. I don't get why your saying people aren't suppose to line up.

Update #1

So I realized that the comic con panels actually go on for a few hours after the floor closes, so I figured id might as well go to some these after hour panels instead of just going home after growing the booths and stuff, so for Friday and Saturday, I added 3 new panels and stuff to the list of things in going to be doing.

I'll be going to a fan meet up for the show Supernatural. Don't know what that's going to be like, haven't seen the show in years but its going to be cool probably. I'll be going to a panel on Smosh Games which might actually be pretty exciting, and ill be going to a panel on Bordertown, which is a new show FOX is making.
