TheFadedWarrior : Perhaps you're right. I think it will still take a little bit of tweaking after the site is converted over.
Its only speculation, but it might have the empty space so people with lower resolutions would still be able to view the pages without the boxes blocking the main section of the page.

I'll throw my two cents in as well, although it may be slightly off topic. There really is only one thing currently that I dislike about the format in the games areas, that is having a thousand different, for example, super Mario 64 games.   Granted, each one is different, having been modded and tweaked, recolored and rebalanced, but I still find it annoying.   Personally I would prefer that the games pages only have the vanilla games listed, and on THAT page, links to the modded stuff.   Otherwise I love the format so far.

The only thing that I've noticed is that some of the popular pages (active/online users, new posts, chatroom) where moved into one of the boxes on the side. I prefer the way the old bar under the welcome to vizzed logo thing looked.

Other than that I love the new layout so far.

There are some parts of the format I think aren't as nice as they were before, but for the most part it's nicer. It's much easier for users to find things since they don't have to do as much looking around. Also, the site's speed is more optimized now and the new layout is more friendly for people that don't always use a computer/laptop for vizzed.

The main issue I've faced with the new layout so far is the fact that certain times when I get on the RGR, the search part will go black, I have to then refresh the page, and that fixes it. Other than that bug, I'm content with the new Vizzed format.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
