For most students, school started up again last week while for others it started the week or week and a half before that, which is just enough time for teachers to cram a ton of work for us to do. So what was your first assignment?

I don't mean simple homework, like reading from a chapter or answering a few questions, do you already have papers or projects to work on or that were announced?



I already had a few basic homeworks, but for English we had to write a 2 page reaction to a story about color blindness, with quotes and all.

What about you?

Aside from the millions of sheets of paper that each of my teachers carelessly barrage their students with, I've had quite a few assignments to complete already. So far I've had to find some current events for government, reply to an article in Spanish, work on annotations for books, and some other miscellaneous stuff as well. Most of it is just busywork that just takes up time and requires very little thought/contemplation. 

I know for a fact that I'll be doing a lot more reading this year than I have in the past. I guess that's what I should expect for taking AP Literature. Overall though, I'm handling the workload fairly well for the most part.

Besides homework and papers to sign, my first assignment this school year was to fill out a survey for English class. It was easy and I enjoyed it a little bit. My first project was about 2 days later, I had to perform a 2-minute speech about myself. That was also for English class. Other than that the start of the year wasn't too crazy.

PacmanandMariofan : Speeches suck. I'm going to have to do my first of the year on Monday for my leadership class. I'm not really worried about that one though because I'm going to ask to go first and I guess I'm prepared for it but I haven't actually wrote anything down yet. It needs to be a paragraph or so on some leadership stuff that involves me.
