Okay so today marks the day I finally got my first phone after waiting years and years I've always wanted a phone and you know what happened I really find it stupid that I have one now. 

So today happened like any other day got in trouble because I was late to be picked up and after that my parents said to me in the Car that they are going to get a me phone as any mostly-normal person I was somewhat excited and happy that I would finally be a part of the crowd. When we got there it seemed my mum needed a new phone oswell so she got like a Samsung Galaxy Sg something and we were picking out stuff for me until my dad says I don't deserve one any more and he got the other phone instead. You know what's funny he doesn't even know how to use it and I do wow....

So he says I can get his old crap flip phone made like 7 years ago or something and as normal I got mad and was flipping out until I found my older sister's phone which is a Samsung slider or whatever (Still better then the flip-phone)  and re-activated it and after about 3 hours after using it I'm starting to realize that phones are really mainstream and I've been around them my whole life pretty much and hey I don't need a phone. 

I mean really everyone has them like except for me until today 3-90 year olds had them before and now I just find it like wow society really is mainstream on phones it's not like anyone is going to notice if I don't have one just kidding they point and are like why don't you have a phone you poor child. At first it's all the cool kids who have the phones they are the best but now phones aren't even the cool anymore I'm sure some other dumb thing will overrule them sooner or later and I'll never get that thing until it's like 20years old just a like a phone ;/ 

Even though that makes me seem like a hypocrite now I now realized that though they may be kind of fun for a while everything get's old and dies out eventually and as a human we don't want to have that reality. 

So what's your opinions on Phones are they really Mainstream or What? But yey I can call people...

First off congrats. Second, I kinda know how that feels in a way. I never asked for phones but then it would be either me or my brother ending up getting one of the old cool phones that my dad or my mum had instead of getting a newly updated one. I don't think you are the only one who thinks that having phones are stupid in a way. Its just a matter of do you need the phone or not. Its pretty annoying also how some siblings have better phones than you do also. Sorry to hear about that you seem to be really upset. It should be the older sibling that has the better things and not the other way round.

I am sure you will get the phone that you want one day. So don't give up. It may be frustrating and annoying as well but just keep on trying deg until you get it.

Congratulations on the phone, Deg. I know how you feel though. Some people have more of a want or a need for a phone. Mine is basically a portable GBA Emulator / Meme machine. xP

Hopefully you get a better phone someday soon Deg. But until then...I guess just take care oh the trash phone you have now.

phones are overrated i may think this because i have that restricted low battery garbage iphone, i hear i would love android but i have no use for a phone i would be totally fine with a flip phone

I used to know how you feel. But once I got a phone with apps on it, I realized that it's super fun to have a phone. Of course, when I had a samsung slider phone I wasn't impressed, but now I have an Iphone 4 and it's a great time waster. 

Just remember, that old garbage phone is there as proof you can keep a real phone safe. You somehow break a flip phone, and it'll be a while before they think they can trust you with an iphone, android, or anything good really. I could be wrong of course, I don't know your parents, but that's how my parents were. Here's hoping you can earn their respect quickly.

Meh, I hate phones... People always calling me up and asking for stuff... >.<
Their main use now-a-days is interwebz and gaming it seems anyways.
Might as well buy a computer, as most "good" phones are just as
expensive as a decent laptop. >.< (just my opinion)

b.tokin : Well I own an Iphone 4 thanks to something Verizon was doing, where they were selling the phone itself for 99 cents. Of course, the phone plan is the kicker, but hey, a dollar for 2 gens back instead of 600 dollars for an iphone 6 around release.

Sure is fun when someone texts you telling you to call them, and when you call them, they tell you to get on facebook so they can ask you something.
