What if Super Smash Bros had a sister game? In that, you play as all the anime characters you love so much, Goku, Ichigo, Yugi Moto, Light Yagami, ETC. The gameplay would be EXACTLY the same as Super Smash Bros, attack opponents, rack up their percentage meter, then launch them off the screen with a powerful SMASH attack. There would be similar modes, new modes, trophies to collect and everything. In fact, it basically IS Smash Bros, but with Anime characters, instead of video game characters.

Would you play that?

I would definitely play it if it existed. Pretty much all of the characters you listed sound pretty appealing, and it would be very interesting to see how they would attack in the game. I would like to play as Light Yagami. Maybe his side special could be Ryuk Flying out of the Death Note to attack. And then his down special could give anyone in range a heart attack and stun them. 

As someone that enjoys anime, this would be an incredible sight to see. If it were true, I would more than likely immediately go to the store on the day of its release and buy it.

Razor-987 : Yeah, and his Final Smash would be where he writes down a name in his notebook which is chosen at random, and that person is instantly KO'ed. It sounds OP, but the only drawback is that it takes about 5 seconds, and if he's attacked during it, it's cancelled out.

Yugi Muto would be fun to play as. IMO, the way he would work is that he'd be similar to Pokemon Trainer from Brawl, where he uses three Duel Monsters to fight, and the Down Special switches them. It could be... Dark Magician, Celtic Guardian and Black Luster Soldier.

Goku490 : There's actually a game similar to smash bros, called "Jump super stars" and "Jump ultimate stars", with all the characters you listed. I haven't played it, so I'm not sure how similar they actually are, but it could be worth checking out if you haven't! ^^

People have made fan-made Smash games that circulate around both anime and video games but I've not seen one focus on mainly anime. Smash Flash 2 is a good example, but while it's definitely good for being a flash game... it's not anywhere near perfect when compared to your official releases.

I'm no avid anime fan (the only two I've really watched with fighting are Dragon Ball Z and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) so I don't think I'd play it myself but it would be interesting to see it happen at least. Just hope it doesn't end up like All-Star Battle Royale.
