Have you ever had your cell phone screen burn out and refuse to turn on? Did it eventually turn on again or did you have to get a new phone?

There's 2 times where this has happened to me. Both times my screen would only turn back on for a small amount of time before blacking out again, so I've had to get a new cell phone twice in a year and a half!

This has happened to me once. In September 2011 I got a Nokia phone (can't remember the model). The phone lasted for 3 and a half years, until I replaced it, and served me fine, with the exception of one incident.

In Summer 2012 the screen randomly burned out while I was texting and wouldn't turn back on. It was a week until I could get it repaired.

Final Weapon : Oh, that really stinks. If my phone didn't give me so many hints about my battery dying, that would happen to me multiple times as well.

Bintsy : It's a good thing you didn't have to get a new phone from that happening. The 2nd time this happened to me, I was right about to go on a week-long mission trip so I didn't really have a choice but to rent a phone and wait a week for my new phone to be delivered.

I currently have an old touchscreen phone I got back in 2010 that I still use today (I seriously need an upgrade). That phone has blacked out on me 3/4 of the time, the battery is at least 33% charged and I never turn my phone off unless it's somewhere where phones has to be turned off which is rare.

Not sure on what's causing it, more likely it could be it's age, but it could be anything.
