We've all known for a while now that there was going to be a sequel to this epic movie, but yesterday it had been officially confirmed that there will be a 2nd movie and that it will be released sometime in 2018.

It more than likely won't be as good as the first one, right? Or do you think they can top it?

The original movie won't be passing a James Cameron movie anytime soon, but over the last couple days has passed both Furious 7 and the first Avengers movie to be the 3rd biggest movie of all time, so a lot will need to be done if the next one wants to even come close to this one, but as long as Pratt does what he normally does, we should still have a really cool experience.

zanderlex : the original Jurassic world was great  I liked it loads more then park. But i dont know how a new one can be. I mean we have learned dino = death. So why would they go back to the island or make another. I dont think it will be any where near as good but it'll be ok.

Well despite what I said in another thread I'm actually going to see it tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that. Though even when I haven't seen it yet I doubt the sequel would be better than the original. Seems like a pure cash in title since the formula seems like it's getting old at this point.

Zlinqx : I'm guessing it's doing that so it can try to build up some of the hype that the last one had, that would also explain why it's coming out after 3 years, while most blockbuster sequels come out after 2 unless there's a delay while they're making it. Most movies don't go annoucning a movie will be far off.
