The only good thing about Purrugly is that at least the character designer responsible for it acknowledged in the name how hideous it is. Purrugly's design is pretty awful, it's just a fat gray cat that is constantly unhappy. It doesn't have much use in battle either. All of its stats are awful except for speed, which makes no sense since it's so fat. It also doesn't learn a single move with 90+ power, unless taught by a TM or other external method. All in all a pretty terrible Pokemon.

The next Pokemon to hate on is Ivysaur.

Ivysaur is like the ugly teenager who rides a skateboard and tells his mom to shut up. He looks so awkward and I don't know what it is, maybe his flower to body ratio? It's like they kept Bulbasaurs physique and put steroids into the plant. Let's not talk about how good he is because like all mid stage starters, he sucks lol.

What even is Tangela? A bunch of vines with a face? A green spaghetti monster? Who knows. Out of all of the original 151 Pokemon, Tangela's design is definitely one of the strangest.

Furret : That first sentence is an apt description of those ugly teen years haha. I kind of want to draw that now because I feel like it would turn out looking hilarious.

People are constantly bashing Pokémon from newer generations for their ugly designs or lack of creativity, yet here we have a moldy pile of green spaghetti wearing clown shoes in Gen 1. Tangela is just an absolute mess and I don't even want to know what it looks like on the inside. To complement its strange design, Tangela also has awful speed (60) and special attack stats (40). I doubt it would be able to take an ember or gust very well with such poor special bulk.

No one should ever have a Vileplume when they can choose to have a Bellossom instead. Vileplume is super slow, and can only learn one move once you evolve it from a Gloom. It also looks so ungly compared to Bellossom.

Clefairy was probably one of the worst Pokemon when it came out. No good stats, no nothing. Its design has - despite the pretty colors - a lazy body shape and its oddly sharp nails always freak me out. Thank god it became a fairy or it would have stayed useless for eternity.

Medicham is a pretty hideous Pokemon. What the heck is wrong with its legs? Are those tumors or what? I'm pretty sure one of Medicham's legs weighs more than the entire rest of its body. It's also an pretty terrible Pokemon in battle. It doesn't excel in any particular area. In fact is highest base stat is speed, at 80. Yikes. It's also a Psychic / Fighting type, which is just really weird. Psychic types are supposed to be special attackers that attack with their mind instead of their body. Fighting types, on the other hand, are supposed to be physical attackers that are all brawn and no brain. How can you combine the two together? All around, Medicham just sucks.

Hariyama is so underwhelming. It has a colossal HP stat and a really good Attack stat, but that's where it stops being good. Mewtwo is way too overpowered. Where's the fun in using a Pokemon that can easily destroy anything? Especially in gen 1, where psychic types were already OP to begin with. So boring, anyone that uses Mewtwo is a loser.

Eevee is generic and anyone who needs an Eevee on their team loses the right to claim they have original thoughts. Eevee is annoying to evolve in a lot of games and honestly? Most eeveelutions have pretty bad moves and/or stats. You're also adding a single type instead of a dual typed Pokemon, limiting your options.

Charizard is overrated. It's actually rather weak in the Kanto region, only really having a good matchup against Erika. I'd say it's the worst of the 3 by a long shot. Mega Charizard X also looks uninspired, about as basic as you can get for Charizard, any kid could have come up with that design.

Ugh, this ugly Roost and Protect spamming, rain setting toilet bowl with wings just begs to be Thunderbolted, Bolt Striked, Wild Charged, and Volt Tackled (in that specific order) and I'd be more than happy to be do it. I'll gladly erase its existence from every 10 year old trainer's Pokédex forever. This stupid pelican (it doesn't deserve to be addressed by its name) is obnoxious to deal with primarily due to its stalling capabilities (Protect, Roost, Aqua Ring), and its ability to set up Rain with Drizzle. While all that's incredibly annoying on its own, the fact it's just a toilet with wings makes it 1,000x worse. I absolutely hated every encounter I had with it in ORAS.

Next Pokémon to hate on is Quaquaval, another lame water bird.

I hate Pawmot. I hate that I don't even know if you mean the middle or the last one because they are the same exact Pokemon. It is a failed attempt at making a cool looking 'Pikachu clone', while it just stands there with very little creativity in its design. I hate how the last two have the same exact name pretty much, and I hate how you need to walk with it for like 10.000 steps before it decides it wants to evolve. I hate that it was the first Electric/Fighting type, as that honor should have gone to something else like Zeraora, or to Iron Hands. It doesn't even look like a fighting type it just stands there. I hate that it can revive a Pokemon in battle, I mean that's just the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. You can literally choice band explosion twice in one battle, that it stupid.

Maushold just seems like a very lazy idea for a Pokémon. Its design is very simple, which isn't inherently a bad thing, but the only thing that sets it apart from Tandemaus, its pre-evolution, is that now you have 3-4 mice instead of 2. Wow. Stat-wise, it's unimpressive too, with every stat except speed being 75 or lower... I dunno, I personally just don't see why you'd waste a team slot on something so frail and underwhelming.

Stat-wise, it's unimpressive too, with every stat except speed being 75 or lower... I dunno, I personally just don't see why you'd waste a team slot on something so frail and underwhelming.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.
