Okay, so lately I have been very very fascinated with roller derby. For anyone who doesn't know Roller derby is a sport that is mostly played by woman where there are two teams of ^ (I think, correct me if im wrong) On each team there are 3 blockers, 1 pivot, and 1 jammer. The blocker's job is to stop the other teams jammer from scoring points, The pivot is a person who is a blocker unless the jammer hands them their helmet cover and then they become a jammer and the jammer becomes a blocker, and the jammer's job is to score points by going around the track. Anyone else here like or play Roller Derby? I really want to play the sport but at the moment there are no junior leagues in my area So I can't really play roller derby for another 5 years. But hopefuly before a junior league starts up here. (Or I can grow a few inches and possibly convince a local adults league to let me join as most roller derby players are short )

Well, I hope that you'll be able to play the sport at some point since you obviously want to play it really badly. I was never allowed to participate in sports. I hope that you don't end up like me, wanting to participate in a sport but never having the opportunity to do so.

I know a few girls that play rollerderby and they seem to really enjoy the comradery of the game. I don't know much about the game but it seems fun and physical enough if you are into that sort of sport.

Did you just watch "Whip It"? lol Anyways, roller derby is awesome. I've always watched whatever leagues were trying to catch on over the years. Even RollerJam, which I thought was just fine. The falls some of them take can be pretty brutal, and I do appreciate the rules of the sport.
