I am open to all suggestions.

Where should I go?

I know this may sound cliche, but I always like to relax at the beach. If you're going on vacation just to get away from everything and relax, then I suggest going to Destin, FL. I'm not sure where you're from but if you live somewhere in the southeast, its definitely worth the drive down there. The sand is really fine and soft, so it makes for good beach walking with the family. There's plenty of great restaurants and bars there as well. I have a yearly bowling tournament that I go to here every year in the beginning of March, and my wife and I are always looking forward to it!

There's boardwalks, marinas, sightseeing tours, workshops, and plenty more for you to do while you're down there! I guarantee you'll have a great time if you go

*Looks at the profile*. Hmm... where exactly do you live? Because depending on your country of origin there are so many suggestions I could give. If you are in the US, visiting national parks is always a must. Even thought they get VERY crowded during the summer they are nevertheless worthy of the detour. Be warned, however, that desertic parks like the Grand Canyon and Death Valley should be visited in the summer because the heat there (as they say plenty of times throughout the parks) can get such that you will get dehydrated quickly.

If you're in Europe, than just explore around! Airfares are so cheap that you can visit more countries of the Union without spending too much on transportation. Try avoiding the United Kingdom (unless you have an infusion of cash) because everything is VERY expensive.

I'd probably recommend going to a place like Myrtle Beach if you like beaches. I went there a long time ago and it was amazing! I bet it's just as amazing as it was the last time I went there.

gamerforlifeforever2 : I second your suggestion for summer time. The first time I went to Florida was in June and it was just unbearable: suffocatingly humid, pouring rain nearly every day and just intolerable in general
