So I am trying to get music with Amazon Prime and am dissatisfied with not being able to download Prime music to your computer; you can only download it to mobile devices. I downloaded the music to my iPad Mini, and then cracked iBackup Viewer to see the file system. I was presented with .drm files as my music. I have no idea how to crack them! I tried renaming them to .mp3, and also tried several DRM remover programs, but this file extension was not recognized by the programs. Any advice?

julianmia : DRM specifically means that it's created in a way that discourages piracy. So it's not the easiest process in the world. There are free programs that do it (Like the one listed above) but these programs in themselves might install Adware/malware on your computer.

If you are going to try and pirate your music, you are better off getting them via Torrent or something like that.

Just as a side note, many music services use DRM files, not just Apple. DRM literally stands for "Digital Rights Management" This is specifically a class of copy protection technologies set in place so people don't do what this user is trying to do. Pirate their music.

If you don't like pirating and want to support the artist, just go to their website and they will have links to where you can download their music in a playable container, like MP3, or if you're lucky, FLAC. 

If you've already bought it on amazon prime, just torrent it...  you've paid for it, so it's not like you're ripping the artist off. Thought maybe that's just how I see it.

DRM is bad. You are not able to copy the files because technically they are not yours to trade. Like an above user said, better to get the music via torrent sites. Be very careful downloading any software that claims to decrypt DRM files, it isn't worth the headache. Unless you know someone who can point you to a good download, most the files will be virus/malware/spyware . If you are using a torrent site I strongly suggest you go download a free program called peer block and run that while downloading torrents. You could also choose not to seed, but that is a jerk move. Just use peer block.
