Just an update: I beat the 8th gym and now have well over 100 Pokemon including Mew and Celebi, so things are going pretty good.

Update: In just 2 days I beat the entire game and have caught 237 Pokemon. I have caught all of the catchable Pokemon in the game (with a few exceptions because they are a pain in the ass to find) so now it is just a matter of evolving all of the Pokemon that I caught to fill up the Pokedex.

Is anyone else making any progress or no? Also, if anyone is playing a Gen 3 game, pick Latios because I picked Latias.

tgags123 : Awesome! Can you care to tell us which Pokémon you haven't caught yet (not including all evolutions you can manage to do without trouble), or are there too many? I haven't started yet because I had to write my review, and I don't know how much time I have tomorrow since I have to pack for Saturday, but next week I have some more time. Although, which game would be good to start with? If you have mainly generation 3 Pokémon I better start with a generation 1 or 2 game (2 preferably because Sad said she would do Fire Red probably).

As we are a week away from the deadline of the current contest... it's my responsibility to tell you that there's now a second part to this challenge (it was always planned, to be kept from you until this point).

Modifiers.

Not only will you be looking to catch pokemon, but now, you will get bonus points for meeting certain criteria.

10 Shiny Pokemon (NON HACKS ONLY) - 25 bonus points (Screenshots of each shiny Pokemon required, in thread and on game page)

25 Shiny Pokemon (NON HACKS ONLY) - 50 bonus points (Screenshots of each shiny Pokemon required, in thread and on game page)

Level 100 Pokemon - 1 bonus point for EACH pokemon at level 100. (Screenshots of each Level 100 Pokemon required, in thread and on game page)

Non-Hack Bonus - 20 bonus points if you didn't use a hack to catch any of the 386 Pokemon (this means using only Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Gold/Silver/Crystal/Red/Blue/Yellow/Green). Only counts if at least 300 pokemon were caught.

386 Pokemon Bonus - 10 bonus points (must catch all 386, counts if you use hacks, though you will be ineligible for Non-Hack Bonus)

Yeah, that's right, I might have a third part ready to drop closer to the deadline, to keep you on your toes. This isn't just about catching Pokemon, this is about doing it in a way that leaves no doubt as to how dedicated you are to your Pokemon Training.

Alright guys I wouldn't worry too much about the bonus point things. It's almost impossible to find one or two shiny Pokemon within the time we have so I have no clue how he expects us to catch 10 or 25. In Pokemon Aquamarine you can buy rare candies for $1000 so I'll try to juice up some of my Pokemon to level 100 after I evolve all of the remaining Pokemon that I still can. I'm pretty sure the non-hack bonus is out of the question too because I don't think there is a non-hack game where you can actually catch more than 300 Pokemon.

Just focus on catching the Pokemon that are on the list a few posts up.
