So, I was wondering what you think is one of the best beers you ever drank. I work in a specialized shop where we have lots of bottled beers, and that made me wonder about it.

On my part, I'm a big fan of India Pale Ales (I.P.A.) and one of my favorites would be in Québec (Canada), a beer from "Le Castor" called Yakima I.P.A., brewed in Rigaud, near the border between Québec and Ontario.

Hops are well added and are adding just about enough of a citrus bitterness to it. Not too much and not missing any, just a perfect mix!

What about you? What is your favorite beer or latest one you've liked and tried out?

NorweAstafar : Are we talking just beers? Or a general malted beverage count as well? Because I do not particularly care for the typical beers, but I love Mike's hard lemonades. I like to doctor it up sometimes by adding a little bit of lemon juice and sometimes Pinacle Cake vodka. it is awesome, it tastes just like lemon cake. I know at that point it is by no means a beer, but that is just my preferred beverage as far as alcohol go. Non-liquor anyway. Now if we were talking about liquor, I LOVE long Island iced teas. And in social situations, I enjoy crown royal black and a coke, or Bacardi Oakhart with a coke. But as for typical beer, I haven't tried one i actually like.

Darthdaishi : I'd say a general malted beverage would count. Sounds interesting and pretty refreshing the way you talk about it, I might want to try that one day! Lemon cake is so delicious, I wonder how it might feel while "drinking" it!

daffy_duck1 : Guinness! I have sweet memories with that drink! A classic stout from Ireland. I drank more than a few back in Ireland!

I don't really like beer. I mean I haven't tried tons of different types but the ones I have tried, I just didn't really like. If I was ever offered one, would I drink it? Maybe, Maybe not. It depends on my mood.

I don't really drink anymore but I want to put something here any way

24 hours chilled old spice rum preferably Captain Morgan's

a slice of lime and an ice cube or 2 and there you have it

my Czech friend showed me this when I was working for a theater group

that doesn't really seem like much to do but it is loads better

I like a malty Brown Ale, or a malty Irish Red. I also enjoy a smooth Stout or Porter, like a Guinness or, my favorite stout, O'Hara's.

During the hot weather, I like a full-flavored Wheat Ale, and even on occasion, a Lager with a lime.

Lately, there's been a big focus on hops; everything is very very hopy and bitter. Now I don't mind bitter or hops, but I've always liked a more malty, full bodied kinda beer.

I like the $20 dollar bottles of beer that take an hour to drink.  Tres Pistoles or La Fin du Monde for instance.  Anything with a good taste that you cant see through really...lol.  I just tried a pretty good stout called Black Metal, brewed right here in Austin, and was pretty impressed.  A nice smooth Canadian whiskey however is my beer or choice

Wait a minute, wait a minute...so the only female that made a response in here is under 21 years old??? Well, I guess I really don't blame her since I was sort of in the same boat. When I was a senior in high school hanging out with some friends, I took a swig of Bud Lite Lime and didn't realize it until I saw the bottle. Hated it...almost threw up on the spot XD I was only 18 at the time. My friend tricked me by saying it was a new lime flavored Smirnoff. Obviously, I didn't know any better back then.

Anyways, I drink 0 beer nowadays. I only drink some liquors and I'm a huge fan of Smirnoff. That about does it for me.

I prefer dark beers. I recently had one that was aged in an oak barrel at a micro brewery place don't remember what it was called but I'd say that was my favorite.

As long as it's not an India Pale Ale or a Heineken-like beer, I generally like them all. At first I was into hard cider/wine coolers, but Molson Canadian (and Budweiser) got me into mainstream beers. I also discovered some excellent microbrewerie beers from Quebec (Unibroue, sold in the US). I also like beers with a fruity taste like peach of cherry

For me I prefer to drink most beers, The only ones I don't really like beers like Carling and Fosters.. They just taste really horrible and remind me of drinking an animals urine for some reason... I mean I usually drink Ciders to be fair.. But Guinness is definitely my favourite. It just tastes amazing for me.. Though I will admit that it's not the most pleasant thing if you drink it in access..

So remember drink safely.. Or face the consequences that are often the grudge of many a student waking up in the morning
