This will kind of be a top ten list. I Will be describing why they should be in the game, and what Nintendo games they are in.
Finn- Finn should be in the game because, why not? He is in Secret of the Nameless Kingdom, and in Ice King, why'd you Steal our Garbage.
Vaati- Vaati should be in the game because Ganondorf is. Also because there isn't enough bad guys. Of coarse, Vaati is in every Four Swords game.
Venom- Venom should be in the game because there isn't ANY Marvel characters. He is in Marvel Nemises: Rise of the Imperfects.
Zombie- Zombie, preferably Dr. Edgar Zomboss, should be in the game because PvZ doesn't get enough attention. Zombies from Plants vs. Zombies.

Super Smash Bros characeters are all Nintendo characters except for very few guest characters such as Sonic, Pac-Man, and Snake. The characters you mentioned will likely never be a guest character because the games they are in are not staple games like Sonic or Pac-Man.

therichieguy : Those are all guest characters. Very very heavy-guesty characters. Venom is already in his own fighting games, Finn may have 1 or 2 games but is still an all-American TV show and would be extremely unlikely, and Zombies... PopCap has issues with lending copyright. Vaati would be awesome though.

I think Isaac from Golden Sun, Shadow the Hedgehog, Tails, Bayonetta, Wonder Red from The Wonderful 101 and Guile from Street Fighter would all be better fighters to add to the Smash Bros roster than the characters you mentioned, though I will admit that Vaati would be an interesting addition to Smash Bros.

Any character that appeared in any Nintendo games? nightmare from soul calibur II for gamecube. The good got a good rep for being one of the best fighting games in history, so I think the said character deserve a position within the game. Then again, probably not. He is long forgotten now.
