God is not mortal, which means he cannot exist in any life form. Life was never meant to be infinite, however death is. Since god isn't a life form we cannot see, smell, hear, taste, touch, or feel him that is why many question Gods existence. That is why god is nothing, nothing in our perception, however when it comes to death that is where infinity lies and that is where God resides.

So its safe to say God doesn't exist (in our perception) until we are immortalized by death

That makes most sense to me.

I do think that in the end, it would not matter to God if you perceived him as male, or as a Goddess instead. The important thing would be that you take his immediate teachings to heart, which brings us down to the basic morals of humankind, such as to not kill or harm others, no?

Most often the act of faith itself is more important than the base for it (that's not to say I downright agree with scientologists or anything, don't read that into it ).

If we think of life as a gift and challenge from a spiritual entity that wishes to see us grow, I'm sure that entity would be more upset if we abandoned all that makes us human, rather than freaking over being addressed wrongly.
Then again, that's human qualities, and though we are suppose to be made in that entity's image, we can not truly tell just how much we are alike. Perhaps all this discussion is moot because such an entity is plainly too hard for our mind to grasp (though I am now entering the realms of scepticism, I'm afraid... D)

For the sake of discussion though, I really do think that it would be possible for God to be a Goddess, both at once or neither at all. We may never know - until the day we die, and see how things are. Or not.

If we're talking biblical God; then he is called a father. However... He isn't the same kind of being as those that walk this world. Whether something is male or female depends on your bodies, if I am wrong on that correct me please. So God doesn't have a physical body but when he did take a human body; he came in the form of a man.

what happened to Jesus' body after the resurrection then? The Bible teaches pretty clearly that the resurrection is the reunification of spirit and body that lasts forever. So, does God have a physical body or not?

That is an extremely good question. The bible teaches About I think forty days after his resurrection him along with his body went up to heaven. I still don't think he has a physical body as we know it because he said he would be with us. If he was still physical we could see him then. We can only perceive things that are physical, or spiritual depending on if our eyes are opened to the spiritual realm. I still think he has a form but not physical. I'll have to take a peek into my bible again just to make sure though. Good question.

Well, you are forgetting about the Holy Spirit. I've never thought that God himself was dwelling in me.... but that it was the Holy Spirit that I was feeling. But I don't believe in the Trinity the same way many Christians do...

That is the holy spirit in us. All three are God. The bible does say though that Christ is knocking on the doors of our hearts. Each member of the trinity has a purpose with out contradicting each other.
