I think Ishida from Bleach is pretty mature. 
The entire time I was watching that anime, I kept thinking about how mature and smart he was, and how much similarities him and myself had.

In terms of the maturity of how you stated it I would have to say Inaho from Aldnoah. Zero because even in the face of certain death he don't even BAT (get I, only people who watched the anime knows that tasteless joke) a eye and is a great leader even for his age. In terms of mature characters in my opinion its either Al from Fullmeatal Alchemist or Kanake from Tokyo Ghoul, both started out very 'weak' and emotional because of the situation they are thrown in head first and end up maturing and adapting to it (even if it take all of the first season of Tokyo Ghoul to have it happen) but I guess what I just talked about was more of character development but still they end up maturing in the end and they done did good in both of them.

I would have to say Chris from Earth Girl Arjuna.  He doesn't have to move a finger for people to know what he wants done.  He's a young man / kid (never know his age) yet he owns his own company that protects the world from human damage.  He can also ressurect the dead and is willing to risk his own life for the greater good.
