(I know this game is kinda old, but I decided to give it a quick review)

Square Enix continues their Final Fantasy franchise with a portable venture. It doesn't have the traditional battle system, but instead is action-based.

GRAPHICS: The Nintendo DS has never proven itself to be able to handle amazing 3D graphics. This game is no exception. With graphics that only slightly surpass N64, they aren't really that special or groundbreaking. As far as style goes, it uses the same graphic style as the previous Crystal Chronicle game for Gamecube.

SUBSCORE:
6/10

MUSIC: Typical FF fare. It uses some light tunes and doesn't really go out of its way to have any catchy beats. Sometimes the tune sounds a little off. Not much to say about it besides that.

SUBSCORE:
6/10

STORY: The plot is just a vehicle for the gameplay elements and tutorials. It's honestly nothing to pay any attention to. Hold down the start button through the cut-scenes and just enjoy the hack-n-slash game-play, because that's really all this game has to offer.

SUBSCORE:
3/10

GAMEPLAY: This is the heart of FFCCRoF. Multiplay is a ton of fun and when you get a group of friends together, it's a great multiplayer experience. While there isn't a ton of customization as far as tweaking your character(s) goes, the great array of weapons and armor/accessories makes up for it somewhat. The elements of each level that requires cooperation from a group of friends makes it very replayable.

SUBSCORE:
8/10

FINAL SCORE:
7/10

Some final thoughts: Don't let the Wi-Fi label on the cover deceive you; it's only for Moogle trading, and you can't play levels on-line with other people. Kinda defeats the purpose of even bothering to set up Wifi with this game.
