Had a fun time. To others that have been/want to go visit one of the Disney parks around the world, discuss your favorite things.

So you went to Disney Land? What was your favourite thing there, if I may ask?
I remember last time I went there, I ended up falling in love with Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. Grizzly River Ride was fun too. Really, I just love water rides like that, especially in the summer.

Haha, I went to Disneyland just two weeks ago and came back home on the Wednesday of last week. I had lots of fun there I honestly don't have a favorite ride, since I enjoyed almost every ride I have went on. It was really enjoyable~

Gamin'Gal : my favorite thing was seeing my kid smile at the scenery. We did three days, and weren't smart about using the train and other transportation to save time and energy. She has her good days and bad days, but she was always in a pretty good mood for disneyland.

Oh, how many times did I go there? Three times, I guess. And I'm still in love with Phantom Manor. The ride is amazing from start to finish, the story is inspired of The Phantom of the Opera, the soundtrack is just fantastic... In summary, I love it. Too bad they replaced the narration of Phantom Manor. In addition to being a great actor, Vincent Price was also a great narrator. I think they changed the narration because most of the people didn't really understand the original by Vincent Price, which was obviously in English, oh well.

If I go back there, I want to try The Tower of Terror and that insane elevator. I don't know about you but feel like crossing over into... the Twilight Zone

I never had the chance to go there. I remember always wanting to go there as a kid. So, how was it? Were the lines managable? Did you get to ride most of the rides?

Part of me really wants to go there just for the experience since I have never been there before. I hope you had a good time, sid you happen to take any pictures or videos of what you saw there to share with us?

I've always wanted to go. Never had the money, time, or people to go with who wouldn't laugh at me about being terrified of Mickey Mouse, though. 

I have the people now *thank you amazing friends who don't judge stupid phobias*, and technically have the time, but still no money. One day, though, I want to go. I wanna see the Pirates of the Caribbean ride...and I kinna want to meet Peter Pan. I also REALLY want to go through the Haunted Mansion. Everything else is secondary. 

...I just don't want to get anywhere close to Mickey Mouse. He scares me too much and I would probably scream and cause a disturbance that I don't want to cause. So would have to trust my friends to keep me away from him. Other than that, things would be so good! I keep dreaming.

gamerforlifeforever2 : Lines were bad by afternoon, but very good before noon. Never got a chance to try the Cars ride, even at 7am, the crowd was too dense. But did manage to squeeze in 3 rides (Tower Terror, Toy Story Shooting Gallery, Indiana Jones) by 9:30am. Only Indy had a bit of a line.

I wasn't expecting to have much fun, our first trip I didn't really dig it. But maybe since it was our second, we just managed our time better.

Other than the obvious theme of the park, how does it compare to other amusement parks from, say, Six Flags? Are rides smoother, scarier or just as "adrenalinic"? Is the entrance fee - I heard $100 for Disney World - worth it? How do they compare among each other, for those who travelled?

I went with my family to Disney World when I was 10 years old. I found it odd that they said adults are 10+ and kids are 9-. I sure was acting like I wasn't a kid anymore during that trip XD

I was going through a video game addiction so of course I wanted to play video games a lot when I was there. I still had a lot of fun at most of the places we went though! We went there in October for an entire week, so we had plenty of opportunities to see the Halloween festivities they did there.

We also saw Finding Nemo: The Musical. We went to so many places and made so many memories. We went on a ride, which I had no idea would be going down a waterfall. I was ticked off and crying because it was so scary XD

I regret not making the most of my trip, but I'll probably have another chance. My family wants to go back there sometime, and now that we have a very hyperactive and adventurous brother to add to our vacation (and our expenses ), it'll be a lot more interesting next time.

janus : If you'd asked me two years ago, I didn't really find it worth it. But if you find the right things that work for you, the Disney people are by and large very accommodating. It is two parks, side by side, but I'd have to say we enjoyed the classic Disneyland way more than California Adventure - which just lacks some of that 'Disney magic' feeling.  We did a character breakfast, and spent more time just talking with the characters as you meet them - its pretty cool. Peter Pan and the Evil Queen from Snow White stay in their character pretty hardcore. The queen's job seems pretty awesome, since she is one of the few workers who gets paid to be snotty and lightly insult you. 

I have been to a couple of 6 flags, in Ohio and California, and by and large the thrilling rides are more dominant there. Disney has some fun rides, but I think the main attraction is their attention to detail. Of course its more expensive than 6 Flags also, so ride junkies would likely have more fun in 6 Flags.

Oh, I went to Disney World almost 5 years ago, once my birthday hits again. There were so many attractions, but I think that the only two places that we went to were Magic Kingdom (awesome) and Epcot (bleh). We went on the Goofy roller coaster, where we were upside down like twice. That whole thing must have been expensive...when you think about Disney World, restaurants at Disney World, merchandise from Disney World, the plane, the hotel, and other stuff. Oh, it was a fun time! For probably everyone else in my family - I was sick all four days over there. 

mario102 : Its interesting you mentioned being sick, my daughter has gotten a cold every single freakin' time we go to Disneyland.  The most contagious place on earth!

When my family was at Disney World for a week, my mom caught a fever. If I remember right, my dad got sick too, but my sister and I turned out fine the whole time!

PacmanandMariofan : Its good you guys made it through ok. Did your parents make it through OK? Despite being sick, the locale helped us cope

endings : Yeah, my parents made it through as well as my sister and I did! We still went to a bunch of places over there so their sickness didn't make much difference for the trip. We were more careful though.
