So, I've recently been told that it'd be awesome for Phemcee to dabble in music remixes/videos. We've actually been planning something of this scale for quite a while, and here's a small glimpse into it.

Back in January, thing1 suggested we begin working on a music video/remix. He had a pretty good suggestion for a song, and a great cause, so we hopped on board! So far, we've been busy remixing the song (as well as diving into other various projects, such as DN pt2), and it's turning out pretty nice! No samples yet, though.

What song are we remixing?

We're remixing "Wrong Side of Heaven" by Five Finger Death Punch. Great song, great message, and is gonna sound fantastic with a little EDM thrown in.


When do you guys hope to release the song?

We plan to release on July 4th, which fits with the theme of the song (being the USA's independence day).

You mentioned 'music video/remix', what is the music video going to involve?

We're actually going to use a reputable minecraft animation software to create a minecraft 'tribute to veterans'. I know it's minecraft, but we are motivated to honor the service of our current and former military members in a respectful and encouraging way.

Is there anything I can do to help?

Actually, yes! If you have any experience with creating/remixing music, and have any helpful tips you'd enjoy sharing, we'd definitely appreciate it! This is our first foray into remixing music, and into animations, so we obviously can't know everything. Both EM and I are big into remixes of songs we love, though, and we have some pretty great ideas for this one.

Actually, a suggestion for you guys... why not keep a blog of it? Since you made this thread, other's are sure to be interested. And that would also fulfill your agreement for a weekly update once you guys got things going.

Awesome! I was wondering what this was about, and since it was in Phemcee, I assumed it would be about Minecraft, but it's a song! And, you're honoring the veterans of America! (Layout!!!!) 

Are you guys going to upload it to youtube and post a link when it's done, or where will I be able to find it?

I love remixed music so I can't wait to see what this turns out like. Are you going to be doing more songs after this one?

darthyoda : Yep! We'll be uploading it to our youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/phemcee) when it's finished. We'll also post here, with a direct link to the video.

zanderlex : It won't be the main focus of our channel, but we do hope to continue to create music/music videos in the future.
