A few months... actually almost a year ago, mrfe and I pulled an all-nighter on the server creating a magnificient Volcano.
It's shown below. It's small because I want to keep it to scale.





It's almost the size of Vizzed Ville for comparison.

Note that this took a month just to completely render on the Vizzed Server map.

Now a few of you may know this already, since information flies fast, but the last part of Devil's Nightmare is also a Volcano. The level is located inside the top.

It's only been there for 3 weeks, so the rendering is far from finished.

This is what it looks like currently on the Vizzed Map.



I'll add a white circle to indicate the top.



Now note that they were both on the same scale.

Here's a side-by-side:



The last volcano nearly fits into just top of this one. It's that big.

My render distance is on maximum (32) for all of these.

It was a great way to finish off DN2. The view when walking down screw you for not including minecarts was amazing, though my laptop didn't like it as much as I did

Furret : I'm glad you enjoyed it! We definitely agreed that a massive volcano would be a superb way to end part 2, and will help springboard players into part 3 when it's released. The size definitely does cause some lag, but we purposefully left a lot of the lava out so that it would reduce the lag.

EM and I spent at least 4 hours on just the basic volcano itself, and spent around 6 more building the parkour and such within it. So, the final level took probably 10 hours of pure building, not including any planning and such we did before-hand.

paper luigi : While Volcanos are epic, and this one was truly a worthy ending to DNpt2, we've got more than a couple more fantastic ideas up our sleeves.

Volcanos are only the beginning... We wouldn't release something in pt2 that we couldn't continue to top for 8 more parts. :v
