I feel a little bitter-sweet about what this week has given me so far. My pro shop is having the best week I think I've ever had! However, I've been sick since Tuesday. Its currently Saturday morning and I don't feel any better. But then again, its about to be that time of year again where Winter starts turning into Spring and here down south, that means the pollen counts will start to skyrocket.

Anyways, I tried everything I could to prevent getting sick, since I noticed that a lot of the bowlers here were coughing and sneezing, etc. I made sure to wash my hands every chance I got but it was no use. This happens every single year, though, and frankly it p's me off. I absolutely HATE being sick! It hampers my performance both in the pro shop ( even though I am having a good week/month ), and out on the lanes. Oh, and by the way, this Friday was a Friday the 13th to make things even more unlucky.

I'm wondering if anyone else is feeling sick because it might make me feel a little better to know that I'm not alone

ya i'm feeling sick today. it sucks.

Unfortunately sick is my new normal.  Confirmed illnesses (by tests, being poked proded, etc) are as follows.

Cancer (early stage - they think a surgery can get it all), Diabetes, Diabetic Neuropathy (the nerves of my extremities are messed up.  Sometimes can not walk, hold things, button shirts, etc).  It also can cause severe pain.  Cirrhosis of the liver, with esophagi bleeding (for those not aware, means the vessels in my throat burst and I can bleed to death if enough of them burst at the same time, it effects my memory and concentration.  On here I can take my time, if words won't come, or I space out.. I can just wait until I recover to continue... face to face is another story entirely.  I might just stop mid sentence and stare off into space.  For Cirrhosis I never drank or did drugs, it was inherited.  Started out fatty liver, progressed to Non-Alcoholic Strateo Hepatitis (I do not have Hepatitis A, B, or C.. it is a Hepatitis all its own), then finally to Cirrhosis.  So pretty much I am always tired, always sick, and can catch things like colds really really easy.

I have been sick for about 5 or so days, but its not an actual sickness, the only thing that I have is a cough every minute and maybe a sore throat for a few minutes every day and its annoying, but in not getting any headaches, fevers, sneezing it anything else. Though I hear that just having a cough by itself is pretty bad.

Stormcrow69 : Wow man...I was just absolutely blind-sided with all that. You didn't really have to tell me everything that you did. I was really just complaining that I hate this time of year when I get allergies and/or a cold virus. Also, I read your other thread when you mentioned that you've actually died twice and been brought back to life. That's just incredible!

But the good news is I have someone new to pray for. Keep on fighting those illnesses and don't give up! As I said, I'll keep you in our prayers, and just try to take it easy bud

MattyIce : No worries.  If nobody but the sickest could get tired of being sick, and post on it.. then only 1 person could.  Thanks for the prayers though.  I will add you to the churches prayers.  I am a 'love and accepting style preacher at a church. 

Fortunately so far, I haven't been sick at all this year. I'm probably jinxing myself lol. But anyway, I likely won't get sick again until maybe sometime during fall or winter. Then again, stranger things have happened to me.

Yeah, my allergies have started up, so right now the skin right around my lips is really dry and burning. After that goes away finally, I will be coughing a lot until about mid summer. 

gamerforlifeforever2 : You are pretty lucky to have not been sick yet this year. This is really the only time of year I get sick, and I actually recently just got over my sickness, so hopefully I won't get sick again until about the same time next year.

thing1 : My wife's allergies just started up too. Her nose is really stuffed and her eyes are constantly red...kind of like what happens to me ( and probably most people ) when I have allergies.

It's fun, because in Georgia, when you don't have a cold, allergies are a problem. When allergies aren't a problem, you have a cold. It's irritating and constant.

Yeah I stay sick half the year but I live down in the south and it gets a lot worse around this time of year. It's almost summer and all my allergies are just all messed up. I stay sick a lot though due to my medicine but the changing of seasons does not help.
