I tried to submit a review for Streets of Rage 2 Syndicate wars but it wouldn't submit

Have I been review banned or something? I passed the newbie test and their was nothing objectionable about the review that i could thing of.

Did it get saved in the system? I didn't think to save it before hand because i didn't know this would happen, and when I pressed back it was gone!

What happened and how can I avoid it? It seems unfair for me to spend my time typing up a 500 word review only to have it yanked away.

Edit: Submitted another review for a different game and it worked fine. Is it something about this game?

There has been a recent glitch discovered on Vizzed. I think it's something like, if you take too long to type a review then it won't submit? This also applies to guides, as that's what happened to me. What I recommend you do is type up your reviews in Word, and then copy/paste them into your post.

While I can't say for sure what happened in this particular case, sometimes reviews just fail to submit, and sometimes they submit but show up blank.

Sadly if the blank glitch occurs there seems to be no way of fixing it...ever. However the failure to submit is easy to handle: just write the review offline and paste it when you're finished like lunar said.

Also I'm starting to see some reviews that submitted properly disappearing. I don't think anyone really knows why just yet.

Would be nice if the staff included a warning, or at least kept the review saved on the previous page, rather than erasing it as soon a submit is hit. This glitch is going to target people who write long, thoughtful reviews, and they might not be inclined to try  again if they get stung.

There are certain words, phrases, or combination of specials characters and punctuation that seem to glitch posts.

I've seen it happen with another user's review.
The only way to fix it was to go paragraph by paragraph, editing and pasting them in until the "problem" paragraph was found.
In the end, for some reason, one sentence caused the whole review to be blank.

Nothing was particularly strange about it, but it just caused it to be blank.

If you post up the review somewhere, I can do the same thing I did with the other review and attempt to find where the problem is.
Google Docs would be a good place and PM me a link.

My advice would be to save it somewhere (like by pming it to yourself on vizzed or writing it in a different program) and check that you've entered all the information correctly, it should submit then.

Yeah I think i got the same message as both of you. I probably did forget to put a title, but the error message mentioned nothing like that, and most sites wouldn't erase 500 words that you typed out before hand and give you a false error message just because of something like that

If you try to submit a thread with no title most sites just go "no title press back to enter one" and leave your post intact, or they take you back and let you enter a title, And they definitely don't erase what you already wrote just because of the lack of a title, espeically when they expect you to type several hundred words as the norm.

WanderingHero : I figured, it's a flawed system but that's why you should always save your work somewhat regularly while typing by pming it to yourself or just write it in another program before submitting it that way you can just copy and paste if you forget to include the title or something else.
