I'm curious to know if any of you go to your or any school athletic events.  Do you or do you not like them?  If you do like them, which athletic event do you like to attend.

I'll start off.  I like going to my college's football and basketball games.  This season, we've won the conference championships in both sports and the student section is absolutely loud.

I've been to a few. I particularly enjoyed the soccer games and it wasn't particularly tedious to get in.

My college, however, is crazy about basketball. I don't have enough motivation to tent in order to see the games.

I don't usually go to athletic events at my school, because I'm always looking forward to going on Vizzed once school ends. But, when I do go to school athletic events, it's usually when I just want to hang out with friends/dates, or just because I play on the team. Other than that, I don't really go to them.

Well as an athlete I am expected to attend the athletic events that I participate in. I am a swimmer so I spend my time on my swim meets, which are really fun as long as you have friends around and some good shade. There are other events on my high school but I rarely have any time to attend most of them but the funnest ones to attend are the football games when it is fall season because they are always full of people and you feel the party vibe around everywhere. The food is alright is not too good but not too bad. I only like the shaved ice. Most of the events that are hosted by the school I go to because I am required to go or because some friends invite me to go. I am still looking forward to going to college because I have seen many of the college students get pumped up about their school's events. I have not yet gone to a soccer game but they say they are fun to attend to. I personally like to attend the events because it is a great way to spend time with friends or even make new friends while helping the school as well as promoting school spirit.

School athletic events are fun in my school. Each house goes against each other. 100 Metre sprint and the 400 metre has the most laughs. I remember racing in the 400 and my friend shouted out "Ryan don't leave me" everyone fell laughing and I won due to everyone else being distracted.

When I went to my old school, st johns, I would go to a few events, and I worked some as well. I went to a few men's and women's soccer matches and when I worked I did both of those as well and lacrosse and fencing.

It was when I was at my senior year in both my high schools (it is usually divided secondary 1-3 and 4-5) that U.S.-style sports like football were starting. There were regular sports (volleyball, basketball, softball) but they had nowhere the popularity of what Anglo-Saxon schools have; there is no feeling of belonging. Plus I've never been interested in sports I don't take an active part of, usually as a score keeper.

I very rarely did.  I was forced to go to football games while in band.  My gym grade was threatened if I didn't go to the basketball games (which I had to pay for).

Once I got to college, my tuition was hiked to pay for a $170,000,000 expansion on the football stadium, but the income from the stadium did not go back to the students.  Out of principle, I ignored the football games.  Plus, when there were Friday games, they diverted all the buses to transporting people to the game. My school had tens of thousands of people coming to games.  It was impossible to get a bus to my class on Fridays when I was paying the transportation fees that kept the bus system running.  And my school spanned two towns. It was a 45 minute walk from end to end.  It also took about 45 minutes to find a free bus on game days.

So....  No, I really didn't enjoy school athletic events!
