Be tortured, this isn't even a question to me. I'd never knowingly let my loved ones expeirence utter pain. Ever. I have no problems with torturers ruining my body if it meant that my loved ones would be spared. Besides, in the end of it all what are scars anyways? A visual history of my physical truama and nothing more.

I would probably rather be tortured but then immediately regret it afterwards. The worst one I can think of is bamboo sticks which is what China used to torture Falun Gong members. It grows inside you and you can hear it growing so it sounds quite disgusting and rather painful..

I would say "To torture" and then free the captive and use the torture tools to escape!!

   However, if that wasn't possible... Ugh... Give me that torture. I also have a high pain tolerance, but none of that really matters with torture. There are many means of torture that aren't physical pain... Ugh... Torture sucks. But I wouldn't want to harm anyone else.

To me, this question is way too easy.

I'm a pretty strict pacifist. I don't ever want to fight or throw a punch. While this kind of thing would certainly test me, there's no way I could do such a thing to anyone, much less one I hold near and dear to me!

It depends on how excruciating the torture of the other person is. Could it be something extremely light? Or would it be the same kind of "excruciating torture" that I would suffer? If it's the latter, I'd have to take it. But if I can just do something really light, I'd just exploit that loophole. Although they'd probably get angry and torture me anyway.

When I read this, I knew I would pick "to be tortured"
But then, clicked "torturer" as an impulse.

I guess I could handle both but, it depends on who the person is. I would not torture my mother or nephew. 
But, could torture some other family members or closed ones... if I was forced to of course
