Getting banned for hacking your device isn't new, Sonys been doing since their PS3 was released, Microsoft since the xbox. So what? Just be glad they're not pulling a gateway 3DS (bricking your ds), and that you can still use offline features and even some online (which sony and microsoft don't allow for banned users). Though I would like to learn more about thuis hack. Could you post some sort of source please?

Well, with nothing to go on, I found ninjhax, the latest 3DS exploit (which is still not new enough for it to be news, Nov of 2014), and I say it poses no threat for Nintendo, the latest version it works on is 9.5.0-11 and the latest is 9.5.0-22, which is higher. That and this exploit, as far as I can tell, they have put up bariars to prevent the exploit to cause rampant piracy (they use a non-standard executable type, .3dsx not .cxi). It is really only good for homebrew. Is this what you are talking about? Or is there something else?

Anyway, I agree with the move. Piracy is a terrible thing and should be punished. Them not acting would be like us working for a week and not complaining when our boss kept half of our paycheck.

My philosophy is simple: if they develop, publish, or carry a game in any way, they deserve their dues. If you want them to stay around, quit trying to kill them.
