My favorite gift that I can ever remember getting was a toy wall-e robot. (yes I like wall-e. I think the robots are absolutely adorable!) He's about two feet tall and looks just like the one in the movie. I had him for maybe a month when something horrible happened. His battery stopped functioning! It would not charge or anything. He's been sitting idle for years, and I would really like to see him up and at 'em again. We tried ordering a new battery, but to no avail. Do you guys or girls have any idea what I could possibly do?

FaithFighter :

From the information given it seems to be that you require a 7.2Volt 1000mAH battery.

After a quick search and a minor look into an online review of Ultimate Wall-e, there are others who have also experienced problems with the battery that are similar to yours.

The simple solution is to take the measurements of the internal casing and also note the structure of the battery connection ports and buy a replacement battery that's compatible via e-bay.

For this, you would be looking for the following:

-  7.2 Volts, 1000mAH  ( increasing the mAH will allow Wall-e to run longer off a single charge [eg: 2000mAH], However you MUST ensure the voltage remains at 7.2 Volts in any battery you purchase. )

-  Ensure the dimensions of the battery will fit in the casing and allow it to close for normal operation.

-  Ensure that the connection ports of the replacement battery are compatible with Ultimate Wall-e's connection port

-  Ensure you have a compatible charger for this replacement battery

There are many available on e-bay - http://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_nkw=7.2v+battery

Should you not care for e-bay, you can take the entire Wall-e unit and battery to a specialized battery store in your area and they can make a compatible battery for your unit and instruct you further as to what you require/may want for battery life, usage, ect.
