In the cold depths of space, a lone ship is cutting through the vacuum. Inside is a hero, but no one believes her to be. All they can see is that they destroyed government property without permission. "What am I going to do now?" the Pilot thinks to herself. "I AM A FUGITIVE! They think that I have gone crazy after they injected me with that Metroid DNA. They might even think that I destroyed the labs as an instinct of a Metroid. Then, something began to confuse her. "Why was it that the metroids earlier never attacked me, but the omega metroid did? If it was because of the metroid DNA that the metroids did not attack, what made the omega attack me? "Was it because I was being a threat to their survival? Or was it something bigger than that?" When she looked down at the floor, the little space monkey was staring at her. "What is it little one?" She asked. The monkey pointed at her arm. "What? How did that get there?" She asked, startled. The Grappling hook went offline ever since I was attacked by the X. Just then, a lone space pirate crawled out of hiding. The monkey pointed at the grappling hook and then at the pirate. "what? You want me to use the grappling hook against him?! But that doesn't make any sense!" she exclaimed. " I'm not sure why I am listening to a space monkey that can't talk, but I'll do it." Whoosh! She fired the grappling hook once it hit the pirate. It was only a matter of seconds before the deranged creature was little more than a dried up corpse. "Whoa," She whispered under her breath. Astonished, she sat back down in her seat.

All right, time for the next phase of this adventure. The lone ship continues to fly through space at unthinkable speeds. Samus sat back in her seat. "They'll really try to make me look like an insane mutant if they find out what i can do now. Suddenly, the silent radio picked up a signal. It was static to the extreme. "Samus! If you....me....i'm....alive....unfreeze....metro...mutant...cre...destroy..." She locked on to the signal. She knew the voice. "Don't worry Adam," she said. "I won't leave you again."

Her face hardened. Her hands worked quickly, her mind even faster, as she put the location of the signal into the ship's computer. Within seconds, the ship took off and blasted through space in the opposite direct that it had been travelling. As she began to approach the signal, she slowed the ship's speed down. In front of the ship was something that she had never seen before, a black whole. Not that a black whole was unheard of, but this one looked as though it could be traveled through. She went into the hole, and soon found herself on a strange planet. She landed...and no sooner than she stepped outside her ship, than she was surrounded by metroids! "But, that's..." 

"Impossible?" A voice spoke behind her. She knew that voice.
"Adam?!" She turned around. Not believing her eyes and ears.
"What happened? How is this possible?" She asked. "Sector Zero..."
"Self destructed, but I was able to get into an escape pod and escape the blast. The doors sealed back up as soon as I exited the sector, and the metroids were left inside. "Yet...They were not destroyed. Instead, they survived and carried the escape pod here." 
"But why did they not destroy you by now?" Samus asked.
"Because they saw me fight against other creatures that were after them, they believed that I was defending them, and they have protected me ever since." Adam replied. 

"What would be powerful enough to scare a metroid?" Samus asked
"That's a good question, and frankly one that I do not have an answer for." Adam said. I have seen the creature a couple of times, but I really do not know what in the universe it is, or what it can do. It runs off whenever it sees me." Adam added. By this time, many metroids were gathering in perfect formation behind Samus Aran. 

Samus turned around. "What?" 
Adam too was nearly speechless. "This has never happened in the history of our dealings with the metroids. 
"But why?" Samus asked. "I mean, it almost seems like they are bowing before me!"
"That's it!" Adam asked. "Your metroid dna infusion!" Adam exclaimed. 
"How did you know about that?" Aran asked. 
"My scanner."
"So you mean to tell me, that after all this time, we have a way to pacify the metroids?"

What exactly is this thread supposed to be?

This is an interesting story! I really hope Nintendo comes out with another Metroid soon..the 3DS was made for it, I just know it.
