So, I was scrolling through my Facebook feed, and guess what I found?

I found a post by Fox News' Facebook page that said Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was going to be charged with desertion.

This is what their Facebook post said :
" The U.S. Army has decided to charge Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl with desertion, according to Retired Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer.
He told Bill O'Reilly that the Army "wants to do the right thing" but The White House"wants this to go away." "

If you want to read the article they linked, click here

So... opinions? I think it is about time we got an update on this. Screw what the White House wants; This is a huge step for the country, in my opinion. We are finally holding people responsible for their own actions. It's about damn time.

Now, if we could just get the politicians straightened out...

Damn straight. He wasn't captured, hes a turncoat and should be treated as such. If fact, the other side most likely took good care of him during his stay. Wouldn't be at all surprised if this mole only came back to recruit.

I just read up on this guy a little. It all seems very suspicious... To be held captive for almost a year could not have been a pleasant experience.
I do think though that the army would have seen him as a great threat and may simply have used 'desertion' as an excuse to remove him from the force.
It's certainly a tough area and there would have been no easy decisions.

m0ssb3rg935 :

Actually, it was 5 years. And most reports say it is left to believe that he just walked up and left. Also, multiple people have said that they served at the same FOB ( Forward Operating Base ), which is basically a deployment base, with him as the time he went poof.

Personally, I think the guy deserted because he wasn't happy about something. I wonder if he might have given away classified intel. And if I am correct, I think he should face death by firing squad for desertion, and giving away classified intel to the enemy knowingly and willingly with the intent of using that intel to hurt other Americans.
