I almost missed making this thread except I logged in last night and got a notification about teams based on registration month.

I checked my date and I realized that my registration date was today but 10 years ago.

I can't think of any other site I've spent 10 years on. Of course I haven't logged in absolutely every day but I figure 60-75% of the days I have. I can't believe how much time I've spent here.

I don't know what the future holds for me at Vizzed. People ask me that question constantly.

The current answer is I don't know. My life is busy enough most of the time that I generally only have time to check in for 10-15 minutes and then I'm off for the day. Not really worth being staff if I'm only around that much.

We'll see though. You never know what the next chapter at Vizzed will bring. The one thing I do hope for is to see it last another 10 years.

This is by far the coolest anniversary thread I've seen.  Man geeo.... that's absolutely amazing!  Congrats on the HUGE milestone.  I think it's so awesome that you've been around for so long and been such a staple to the site.  Even if you're around for so little time each day, the fact of the matter is that you are ONE of the most trustworthy people here.... enough to even retain and maintain an admin position.  Vizzed just wouldn't be vizzed without you, so I hope you stick around for another 20 years as well.

I've never spent more than 3 years on a website myself, and I can easily see vizzed being the first one I stick around for a decade or more.

geeogree : Hey Geeo, I want to say, nice work for being on Vizzed for a full decade, you sure went through a whole lot, like being an Admin (which I hope you return to the Admin rank once more). But taking on what you and Sing said, on any websites I go to, I normally like quit the site within a year, with the exception of 3 websites (2 active and one deactivated website), A flash game website, DeviantART and Vizzed, every other site, I left within a year and they have been a lot of sites I've done that.

Well, I hope you have a bright future ahead of you Geeo, and return to that Admin rank again.

10 years, huh? My only regret is that I didn't join this website sooner. I think I've only been here for about 3.5 years or so, and I've loved every second of it!  After my NES finally died, I was very desperate to continue playing those games. At the time, I didn't think you could play NES games on a computer. When I searched for a cheap console online, I saw this website, and I have been here ever since.

10 years is crazy. I'm surprised that I am approaching 4 myself next month. 

But for you to have been here for 10 years, that says a lot about you and your character and how much you really care about this site. 

Singelli : this milestone will start to become more and more common. It's similar to how 5,000 and 10,000 posts were HUGE until we had 25+ people hit the milestones. I don't know if anyone will actually get to 10 years of activity but it's going to be more common going forward.

IgorBird122 : yeah, I've had memberships at plenty of sites that have existed for a long time but I've never spent as much time at a single site as I have at this one.

I would like to return to admin some day but I don't know if I'll ever be that active again.

MattyIce : yeah, it's a great site and it's lucky that it has been able to help so many people play games that are almost impossible to find anymore.

thing1 : it's been a pretty wild ride. It hasn't always been a place I cared about but it has always been a place I could come back to and feel like I belonged. That has definitely been nice.
