Okay so I am curious on which DS I should actually get,I been leaning towards the 3DS XL,but from what I hear is that it don't come with a power cord adapter and most stores don't exactly see the adapter for it. So I been curious as to whether just to get the regular 3DS or just downgrade for a cheaper version for the games such as the 2DS? I wanna hear recommendations from people that actually own one mostly, but even if you don't still feel free to post some the info on a DS and which one's you would actually recommend for a person to get.

First. I wanna know how good is the battery life on your DS without having to be charged?
Second. How good is the gameplay on your DS?
Third. What games do you play on your DS? Which ones would you recommend for me to get when getting a DS?

I already got one game planned to get for the DS as well, which it is omega ruby.

I just need advice on which DS I should actually go for.

Well, I'm going to be getting the 3DS for the second time this Christmas. I'd recommend getting the old 3DS (I'm calling it old because there is a new one coming out). I never really like the 3DS XL because it was too big for me, but I was around 10 or 11 when I first held one (I'm 14 currently). The original 3DS is cheaper, and it is probably better at saving power, because the bigger the screen, the more the power being used (at least that's what I'm thinking). Haha scratch that last part about battery. Checked IGN and they say the 3DS XL lasts .5 hours longer on 3DS games and it lasts about 1.5 hours longer on DS games. On the 2DS, if you're talking about the 2DS that pretty recently came out, I say don't get it! It looks stupid and feels stupid, that's all I have to say there.

In the end, after doing some research, I'd say go with the 3DS, because if you get it at Target, there's a $50 discount which makes it cheaper than the 3DS by $10. If you think it's too big, go with the 3DS. I think you shouldn't go with the DS lite because you might as well get something that can play new games as well, so there. I hope I helped .

awesomeguy279 : Haha, yeah, I found that out after researching . It was a surprise to me because you'd think that the device that is smaller would use up less power . Anyway, peace .

MCJungleKitty : Thank you for your review on the 3DS's! I might check out the 3DS lite if it is gonna be able to play the newer games, the last time I had a handheld for gaming was back when I had a Gameboy Colour. Though since I got an Xbox 360 I really missed playing pokemon for ages since it comes from my childhood [i'm 19 and been a pokemon fan ever since along with yugioh] but if the 3DS lite is a better option than the XL I might go with it. ^^

SaberToothWolf : Haha, I think you read that wrong . There is no 3DS lite, but there is a DS lite, which is pretty old and not sold in stores. It doesn't run 3DS games, so I don't think you'd want it. It's pretty much between the 3DS and 3DS XL. 3DS XL has better battery and it's $10 cheaper at Target, so I think you should get that . I think I will too since there's $50 off. I hope I explained this better than in the last post . Peace .

MCJungleKitty : Ah okay lol I did read that wrong after all xD or my mind played tricks on me once more with putting a three there xD it tends to happen to me,I seriously think i got dyslexia to some point lol other than that, yeah I'm wanting to mostly get the pokemon games for it ^^ since a friend talked me in to it and since I don't play my 360 much anymore,it would be best to get something else i'll be actually able to enjoy once more. lol Though I do like the XL mostly because it's bigger. I just like the bigger screens mostly that it has.

SaberToothWolf : You can't go wrong with the XL . It's cheaper, it's battery lasts longer, and it's newer, so it will last longer. However, there is a new 3DS coming out in 2015 in North America. It's called the new 3DS (original right?) or the 3DS LL. It already came out in Japan, New Zealand, and Australia, so unless you're going to any of those regions in the next year, go with the XL . The new 3DS doesn't have many differences, but they might be worth it, I'm not sure. It's got a faster processor, but the original 3DS worked fine, so it doesn't really matter to me :/. Search it up if you want, but the 3DS XL is probably the best deal . Peace .

I swear my 3DS XL came with an AC adapter when I got it, though that was at launch back in August 2012. Maybe that's changed now, but I really doubt it. And even if it didn't come with one, it's easy to just order one from Nintendo's online store. They're like no more than $10.

If you have big hands, don't get the original 3DS. It's as big as the DS Lite, which is to say it's freaking tiny.

The 3DS XL isn't that big after you get used to it, With the screen shut it's about as big as an iPhone 6 Plus.

I don't have much experience with the 2DS, but apparently the wedge shape is comfortable and it's more durable because there's no hinge. But, mono speakers only and no 3D.

If you really care about the 3D, you could maybe wait a few months for the New 3DS's to come out. They're supposed to have MUCH better 3D, and a better processor that will support some exclusive games.

The new 3DS will be much more powerful than the current 3DS is. For example the 3DS you can buy now does a soft reset every time you start or close or open the home menu from the Smash Bros game. It also will have a c stick and a zl and zr button for better control setups.

If you want to get one now I would recommend the XL one because it is simply easier to see what is going on in the game you are playing.

The 2DS is cheaper though but if you were that short on cash you wouldn't be looking for recommendations.

I'd say just get the current 3DS. If you care about a bigger screen, get an XL, but I have a classic 3DS and I have no problems with it. The new 3DS isn't worth waiting for, a bit faster and an analogue stick aren't that huge of additions. They're nice, but the 3DS itself is already extremely nice.
