It's not really possible to tell anything from your picture, to be honest.  I had NO clue what was going on with your eye until I read your post further down.

So it's just really red and looks bothered?  

If that's all, there are a million reasons that could be going on.  However, lack of sleep is often a culprit, and it takes a day or so to go away.

Otherwise, you might have gotten something in your eye that is irritating it.  Does it hurt at all?

Stress could be the reason.  Are you extra stressed?

What Singelli said. Believe it or not strange things can happen to our eyes and a lot are harmless. You can actually stress out a blood vessel in your eye and it can burst... and then you can sleep it off lol. If it doesn't hurt I wouldn't worry about it but if it doesn't hurt and lasts more than a week I'd go see a doctor asap. It didn't look like some random eyeball freckle so hopefully it is still nothing. There have been cases where parasites have entered the eye and the host didn't feel a thing...not trying to scare you lol but instead of consulting us, why don't you try webmd? That site can be confusing so I'd go to a real doc.
