Well my opinion sort of have ended CW Vortex was one the last ones I heard. Of course their are other cartoons on like nickelodeon channel or cartoon network for tv which probably is the best last chance for cartoons on a Saturday morning. ABC, CBS, NBC carried cartoons for  a long time a think for like since 1960 I heard maybe a little longer ago than that. I thought cartoons at first was on Saturday mornings for a while like 30 years ago. I did some research they saying it goes back since like 1950s. Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, MightyMouse I think, Quick Draw McGraw were some of the early cartoons. Well I grew up in the 80s and 90s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the cartoon back then of course you have other cartoons like Alvin the Chipmunk, The Smurfs love the smurfs, The Incredible Hulk and Spiderman, Garfield. Plenty of nice cartoons came out in the 80s and 90s. Animaniacs, Batman, X-men, The Mask, Tiny Toon Adventures, Sonic the Hedgehog. Bunch of cartoons to mention. I used to be on about three different channels back then I think keep turning the channel back and forth. I remember getting me a bowl of cereal well a couple. Maybe put a pizza in the oven that morning for TMNT fun times. CW Vortex last lineup not bad Sonic X, The Spectacular Spiderman, Justic League Unlimited and a few more. I'm sure some of you love Dragon Ball Z, Digimon Fusion, and Yu-Gi-Oh. I heard they started to cut back cartoons when I got older didn't know why. As I got older and heard different things. Like I could have sworn there where more cartoons with commercials that go with them as it came to toys. Well I heard they wanted to concentrate more on kids. I heard FCC started switching some stuff making it more strict. Therefore lesser cartoons and commercials. Used to be several hours of cartoons on tv at one point if I can remember. Well anyway not knocking wanting to concentrate more on kids. Wish they could have kept mixing up with family friendly shows for kids as well as cartoons.

I do remember watching cartoons Saturday morning when I was a small kid.

I haven't heard commercials of any weekend morning cartoons recently.

If I was curious enough, I would probably pull an all-nighter on Friday to check it out.

Local Mods : OP requests a move of this thread.

Yeah, I totally feel like Saturday morning cartoons are gone for good. Back in the day it was really only in the morning and late at night for cartoons. Now you can find cartoons anywhere at any time of day.

When I was watching Saturday morning cartoons. It was a Friday prime time event. The day before they would show previews of the cartoon to come right on prime time. They had real stars like John Candy it really was a big deal. It wasn't just cartoon but for the whole line up. Pee wee, Land of the lost, And just old shows. Now it's like where is the cartoons that we used to love? My god on a Saturday I'd wake up at 5:00am to start my day. My mom would yell about how it took me hours to wake up for school but for cartoons. I'd just get up. The kids today ether don't care about cartoons the way we deed back then. Or the station don't ether way the kids are miss out.

Yes Saturday morning cartoons is dead and gone as it used to be known in the past. These days you can see cartoons all day long and mainly only on certain channels. The all day part bothers me less than the only certain channels. I remember when at least half the channels used to show cartoons on Saturday and they each had themes to them. Like one would have super hero cartoons, another would be girlie stuff like my little pony, and another had stuff like the smurfs. Anyways y'all see what I mean. So yeah I agree Saturday morning cartoons is dead.

Will1 : The reason Saturday morning cartoons have basically died out,is the same reason why TV will eventually die out.We have the internet. We are not bound by a collar,on a schedule to view a show. The internet allows you to view basically everything you can watch on TV,and more. All it takes is internet, electricity,a computer, and fingertips.

Sad to see them go,but i suppose you can't stay in the past forever!

Saturday morning cartoons are basically dead because on Netflix you can watch whatever you want when you want to so there is no reason to watch a specific show on Saturday morning. When I was growing up loved watching Dexter's lab and Power puff girls because they were fun and cool. I can't watch most toons that a currently running because they try to be stupid or rely on physical humor in order to be funny which really rubs me the wrong way. Not that physical humor can't be good It just usually isn't done well. Buster Keaton did physical humor well and I o find his films to be hilarious good fun
