Hidekaz Himaruya Killing Off Prussia in Hetalia?

So as most of you know, Hetalia is my favorite anime. Because of hetalia I can't look at a world map seriously again.  
Most of you might know that Prussia used to be east Germany and isn't a country anymore. Since its not a country anymore, Himaruya might kill him off. I think that he should just not put him in the episodes that are after that time. I really hope he doesn't kill him off because he is one of my favorite characters.
So, what are your thoughts to this?

Well, if Prussia is no longer a country, it wouldn't make sense for him to just disappear, something has to happen, and a death would make the most sense. I vote death.

I never understood the point of having Prussia in the show. If he is a country that doesn't exist anymore, then why keep him? Understandable if the character just show up on episodes set in time where the country exists, but there is no point in having him in episodes where he doesn't.
