I'm not fully sure if this question has been asked yet, but I was curious as to what most people are thankful for this year.

I work in retail, and if its one thing I've noticed lately for the past few years. Is that Thanksgiving isn't really getting its "shine" as it used to. I understand there are more religions today than say, 100 years ago. But that isn't the point. The point I guess that I'm making is, this holiday is about being with family, friends even, and being thankful for something that keeps you going, or rather being thankful period.

So my question to the people here on Vizzed, including David (if he wouldn't mind replying ) is, what are you thankful for this year?


For me? I'm thankful for my wonderful wife, without her I'm not sure where I would be. I am thankful for my new family that I married into, they're a crazy bunch, but none the less they are my family now. And of course I am very thankful for all my friends, because without them as well, I would not be where I am today.  

This year, I'm thankful for my friends and family, because without them constantly inspiring me, I might be a different kind of person. Also, I'm thankful for Vizzed, because it's a big part of my life when I can't hang out with real life friends.

I'm thankful for my friends, both real life and online (specifically Vizzed), for being there for me and cheering me up when I'm down. I'm thankful for my family for supporting me and helping me when I need it. I'm also thankful for other people, like teachers and neighbors, for helping me and / or my family during events or problems.

Like others, I'm thankful for all of the important people in my life. I'm also thankful that I haven't had to struggle to survive, and that I'm someone who loves to think.

Most of all, I'm thankful that I have the chance to exist, and I hope that I'm making the most of it.

well just like everyone esle im thankful for family and friends. And for david for helping me get back onto vizzed. Thats all i have to say. 

Wow, Those are some serious reasons to be thankful Its really enjoyable and inspiring to see what you guys have said. Friends, Family, Teachers, People who are just there to support you when in times of need. Those are without a doubt the top reasons most people are thankful for, I'm very thankful for everyone here that has posted so far, and anyone that might post later, for sharing with me, and of course everyone here on Vizzed, what they are thankful for. Simply amazing, I truly am glad people are still thankful on these days of life. It still reminds me, that even with all the bad things that are going on in life, there are still people out there, willing to push, and willing to thank those who have given that extra hand when needed Thank you guys for your time!

I'm thankful for my family, and all they do. I'm also thankful for Vizzed, and all the fun I've had here, and the friends I've made here also. Vizzed has dong a lot for me in the past year and a half, and I'm infinitely grateful for it, and everyone here.

I'm tahnkful for my family, and the VA finally giving me my darn disability. 

I am thankful for many things, but perhaps I may not even realize it yet. However, I do know that I am EXTREMELY grateful for my entire family. Without them, I don't think I could get or receive the love and support I need. I wouldn't be here in my life right now if it wasn't for them. 

I'm thankful my parents taught me to take responsibility for the good and bad in my life.  I learned to never blame other people for bad things.  It's not anyone's fault for my failures except my own.  Also, I get the credit when I succeed.  I always hear and see people, at work, my friends, etc, complain and always find excuses or blame others for their troubles.  I'm glad to own everything that happens to me.

I'm also thankful for my wife, my daughter, my job, my family, and the fact that I have probably the easiest life in the universe.  I work hard, I try hard, I compete whenever I can but I was afforded all the opportunity in the world to have a wonderful life and I'm enjoying every second of it.  

I'm thankful I can realize how lucky I am and how good things are.

I must admit as well, if it weren't for my parents I'd be lost as well, not to mention the most important people that have been in my life. Even though they are gone now, I miss them and love them still, I still use everything they taught me today. And those people would be my Grand parents. They taught me so much, that even my parents didn't get to teach me. 

My grandmother taught me how to cook, how to read, how to spell lol, so many things she taught me I could go on and on, but I'm not going to do that lol, however the one thing she taught me, that I keep in my heart every day of my life. And that is to love, to cherish, and to respect. Everything around you, unless given a reason not to, always give those a chance, because some people never get a chance in the first place. 

My grandfather, he was a WW2 Vet. He taught me how to survive on my own, how to be who I am today, not to mention over a hundred other things, but the most important thing he taught me, is to never to judge a book by its cover. Most people know what this meaning means, and others in this world apparently don't. However He also taught me to always respect women, old and young no matter what. They are the mothers of our children, they are the reason we are here. Either they are good one's or not, we should always be thankful for them and always love them... Even if at times some of them aren't worthy enough, they did bring you, or me, or someone you know into this world.

TriXdios : I am thankful for my friends and family and considering im graduating this year from high school i am thankful for my teachers who told me to never give up and that these 4 years will pass with ease and thankful for my school for actually excepting me since i was almost not accepted freshmen year due to attendence

I am thankful for the people in my life that helped me learn to respect myself. They taught me that it is good to be yourself, screw the haters. It is good to love yourself and it is okay to think you are beautiful. That it is okay to stand up for yourself.

this year i would have to say i am thankful my bro is still alive. he suffered from a blood clot sometime ago and now has to have a major surgery but, somehow his young strength has kept him out of the hospital and doing well. i am also thankful for vizzed as it has brought me new friends and fun in life that really makes a difference. to echo catlady...thank you for posting this thread and as it is thanksgiving today happy thanksgiving everyone!

I am thankful for a lot. My family, friends, my health, my current job (although just temporary, better than nothing). I am thankful for what I have. I could go on and on and on.

1. Friends - without them we would always be lonely and not have anyone to hang out with. It is always fun to have some friends to hang out with so you aren't always stuck at home by yourself. I mean, friends are people you can hang out with, have commonalities with, etc. Without them how would be able to have things to do?

2. Family - without a family how would be here in this world or have anyone to spend the holidays with? It would be lonely if you didn't have anyone to spend holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) with? It's always nice to be able to spend the holidays with?

I am thankful for our Ogrelord Shrek. Praise him.

I am also thankful for honey walnut shrimp from Panda Express, as well as my eyes. Without my eyes I couldn't appreciate Shrek's beauty as much.

I'm thankful for the food, family, life, God, & myself. 

Also, I'm thankful for Vizzed, Vizzed Board, & David himself. 

Lastly, I'm thankful for the friends I made here & in real life so far. They also thank me as well.
