tRIUNE : To me, there are primary, secondary, and tertiary issues. Primary issues are essential doctrines, where you HAVE to believe in these doctrines to even be called a Christian. They fit the description of Christian. Secondary issues are issues where denominations differ, but do not affect salvation. Calvinism vs Armenianism, Creation debate, ideas of baptism, etc. Tertiary issues are issues that are basically opinions and don't really have biblical basis on supporting one view or another, but different Christians hold different views on these. They are also considered very small differences to be placed as opinions.

So if someone does not meet all primary issues (like they deny the Trinity), does that necessarily mean that they're not in fact Christian, or does that mean that we simply cannot call them Christian?

I'm very anti-gnostic, so I don't want to attribute any salvation-by-knowledge doctrine ever. I don't want to say that an atheist is necessarily faithless. I don't equate faith and knowledge in the least bit.

Paul warned about the division that would be caused by claiming a doctrine other then the one set for us by God via Jesus.

 Jesus said that God already removed his chosen place of worship away from the physical realm

However, we are to meet with other believers but only to encourage each other to Love,  to put actions with our love, and to help each other not sin.

Which all agree with Jesus approved Greatest Commandments and his Final Command. Jesus also said that the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth in some translations) would be with us if we followed his commands (teachings in some translations)

But I still attend every church (regardless of doctrine) I can so I can fulfill the "Do not Forsake the gathering" because regardless of the division we still each, as an individual, have gifts that help us grow as The Church (Christendom as a whole).
